PLANNING POST:
The type of magazine I am planning to make is a rock music magazine however I am not sure what genre because I am going to leave that down to my results of my survey I placed on survey monkey but I would like to create a heavier rock magazine. I plan my target audience for my magazine to be around 16-25 and to be dominantly male. I have chosen this type of magazine as I have been inspired by the magazine kerrang as I feel their style is very welcoming and their magazine as a whole is appealing to the eye, also the fact that kerrang has 505,912 page impressions which shows that their sales are very high and as a music magazine they have become very successful. I have chosen to do a rock music magazine as I feel it will be a challenge for me but also because I enjoy that genre of music. I decided to aim my magazine at a male audience as I feel they are easier to approach and will be more likely to read a rock magazine. Finally my magazine will be mostly music based I may place some sort of photography in the magazine to make my magazine different to others and appeal to a large audience.
