Movie Synopsis: The Doll’s House
After their uncle living on the streets for two years, Harrison and Harper are faced with finding his deeds which are located in his well-presented home, leaving them with the question of why did he go on the streets? After searching the house for a while the siblings decided to make a day of it in hope of finding the paper work as soon as possible. Little to their knowledge the well-presented house hides a horrifying story of an evil entity in form of a ventriloquist doll taking innocent souls for his survival and the time has come for him to take another, the siblings are then forced to fight for survival against the evil entity in hope they will make it out alive. Harper is murdered brutally as both the siblings ignore the warning from the doll’s previous victim Chloe a 7-year-old forced to commit her own death leaving Harrison and cousin Jess to have one final confrontation with the evil entity but will he finish this and make it out alive?
Narrative structure Equilibrium: Harper and Harrison arrive at their uncle’s house in search for the deeds Disruption: the house which they have decided to stay due to the fact searching for the deeds in time consuming is not only haunted by an evil entity but also a murdered child Event: disturbing events start to unfold, including the doll trying to brutally murder the two siblings splitting them up from one another Recognition: Harrison listens to the warning from the young child and decided the only way to put this to an end is to destroy the doll, but Harper decides to try and save herself Resolution: Harper dies and leaves her brother Harrison and Jess fighting for survival, he defeats the doll and buries it to try and save others from the pain he had to go through, movie ends with him walking away from the house in attempt to find his way home and continue living life
Characters Harper: The younger sibling She is defiantly a daddy’s girl and has been protected all her life by her older brother Harrison. Harper is a popular girl with little brains in her head she can be pretty selfish and always puts herself first as in her eyes she is the most important. Harper does sometimes feel her brother is a bit too protective and wants to spread her wings and do what other teenagers do like party all the time. Harrison: The older sibling/ Hero Harrison does lack in confidence but is a very caring and curious young man. Not extremely popular but he does have brains in his head, he has many goals in life and will get there if only he wasn’t being held back by his younger sister Harper. Harrison tries to protect her no matter what with their parents going through a rough time Harrison just wants to give his sister some sort of stability in her life, he believes in the greater good and you couldn’t find a less selfish person if you tried. Jess: The cousin and daughter of dead uncle/ Final Girl? Jess was sent away from her father at a young age when he became aware of the evil entity in order to protect her. She lost all contact with her father until she was informed about his death, after travelling down from her mother’s house she arrives to find her cousin brutally murdered and is left to find out the truth about her father’s life and his house Chloe: The dead child 7-year-old little Chloe’s life was ended short as she was possessed by the evil entity taken the form of her father’s ventriloquist doll. Her death was sudden as she was forced to jump down the well which now stands on the Siblings Uncle’s property. She now has set herself a mission in warning every poor soul who enters the land to try and protect the greater good. Little Jimmy: The antagonist Little Jimmy is the form the evil entity has taken, he feeds and therefore lives off the innocent souls of the young and will stop at nothing in receiving them.
