ICE (CREAM) QUEEN Mint? Lavendar? Millenial Pink? We’re welcoming this spring fling with open arms. Pastel colors are here to brighten up your wardrobe and your life. Brands like Celine, Hermes, and even Moschino are showcasing pastel hues, such as postachio and lilac, during SS18 shows. These airy colors generate a sense of light femininity that lingers and we cant get enough. These ice cream colors dont stop at pink. We also see muted tones of blues and yellow. We will continue to see this trend from head to toe as well as pops of pastel in our garments, accessories, shoes, and make up. This trend makes a stamp for me because of its romantic qualities that celebrate women and their sexiness.

Heathly Skin? A fashion statement. Fresh faced women and men hit the catwalk making minimal makeup a trend for 2018. Photographs shown are backstage from the Alexander Wang show where Nars was responsible for this natural makeup look. Designers like Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham, and Mansur Gavriel confirmed minimal make up is here to stay. SS2018 shows set an example of how the rest of the season will be when it comes to looking fresh. What will this mean for countour and lip kits? What brands will suffer from the effortless look? In my opionion, less is more. I love this natural look and believe everyone should step away from their caked beauty blender. Isnt the youthful, natural look for everyone? Selfie on. https://www.forbes.com/sites/biancasalonga/2017/09/16/get-the-no-makeup-look-from-the-springsummer-2017-shows-at-new-york-fashion-week/

BLAZED & CONFUSED Peeping up on the runway this 2018 fashion week was the classic blazer. Tweed prints and even a smidge of a voluminous shoulder,Gucci shows us that blazer are here. Street syle or to the office? It doesnt matter. Wear your blazer both ways. I love this trend because it can dress an outfit up or down and add a pop to any outfit. Structered shoulders go along with this trend however, we are not seeing the full-on shoulder pads yet. Gucci does an amazing job of showcasing forward thinking aesthetic for the blazer.

Hey scrunchies, you can sit with us. Mansur Gavriel and beauty team, Bumble and Bumble show us that scrunchies can be beatuiful, daintiful, and best of all functional. In the SS 2018 runway show we see models with the most 90s hair accessory of all, the scrunchie. We see scrunchies make a huge come back reminding us of our 90s play days and Full House marathons. Loose ponytail? Scrunchie. Low bun? Scrunchie. Casual and effortless? Scrunchie. I am loving that the scrunchie is back. Seeing this style in pastel colors and neutrals is on trend along with the minimal and effortless look it gives. This season, channel your inner Michelle Tanner.
