[Title] . . . And Where Are We Going? [Kicker] When typing “what happens” into a Google search, the very first suggested hit is “what happens when you die?” [Highlights of the source article] This question is perhaps one of the most debated questions in the history of mankind. Latter-day Saints are fortunate enough to know the answer to this question, as well as the answers to all of the questions that go along with it, given the education we’ve received during our memberships. However, most of the general public is unaware of these answers, and that’s where David A. Edwards comes in. In a question and answer series, Brother Edwards answers simple questions about the life after this one. One such question is “What happens to us right after we die?” Brother Edwards explains the separation of spirit and body and the designation into either spirit world or spirit prison. Other questions include “What is heaven?” and “What is hell?” Brother Edwards reveals that one of the most troublesome questions people in our society face is whether or not heaven and hell actually exist, but again, Elder Edwards simply explains what we believe in terms of heaven and hell. Brother Edwards continues on to talk about the specific aspects of resurrection and the various kingdoms of heaven, such as what resurrected bodies look like and who will get into the celestial kingdom.
