I am a senior at Liberty University, majoring in Graphic Design. I’m an enthusiastic designer focused on print design, advertising, and a little bit of web. I’m passionate about learning and using my creativity to create beautiful pieces! I’m very comfortable with the Adobe Suite -- Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Micrsoft Office. I have a basic knowledge of Dreamweaver and HTML/ CSS coding. Some weaknesses would include writing - I am capable of writing well, but it is not a strong suit, nor is it something I enjoy. I can be a leader if I need to be, but I work better as part of a team, getting things done rather than delegating tasks and organizing.

Where to start
A “stripe” is defined as “a line or long narrow section differing in color or texture from parts adjoining”. Knitting is a natural when it comes to creating stripes. The needles act as guardian of the straight line, that crossover point. Here are the basic simplified steps:
step 1 step 2
Cast on 56 stitches on your circular, size 13 needles. Tween your thumb and forefinger. The loose end should be on your left, while Get your one 8” length of yarn and hold it in your left hand between your thumb and forefinger. The loose end should be on your

ere it is! This is a pattern for a simple, beautiful, and quick garter stitch cowl, knitted in the round. We love this cowl scarf because it’s super soft, cozy, and warm, and because it’s knit on round needles in one piece, there’s no need to sew up any seams. You could knit this up in a day or two!
To begin, you would want to cast on 56 stitches on your circular, size 13 needles. Then, knit entire first row. When you’ve finished, join your work, making sure not to twist any
The loose end of the yarn should be on your left end and it will be attached to the yarn on the right.
It is up for grabs as how to fill in those rows that make up a stripe and the ever-popular horizontal line and color change are just a start in choosing how to stripe a sweater.

General rules will apply such as dark lines on pure color will have the tendency to deepen the entire look of the garment. Light areas will appear larger than dark areas. Warm colors will pop out to the eye more than cool colors.

When you switch from to purl, add a stitch marker where it switches. If you don’t have an actual stitch marker, you can use a or anything that will go around the needle.

After trying out these steps and practicing for a little while, you’ll be on your way to having your own cowl neck scarf!

stitches. After you’ve joined the piece, purl the next row. This is different than knitting the garter stitch on straight needles, where you would knit every stitch of both rows. To achieve the garter stitch when knitting in the round, knit every stitch of the first row, and purl every stitch of the second row.

It is quite simple to incorporate stripes into an uncomplicated knitting pattern. The more difficult choice is what colors to choose.

That’s right, the powerful growl of your stomach can be more frightening than the growl of a bear, but do not fret! With a little planning you can easily conquer those ravenous grumbles. gadgets to make you life simpler. Your refrigerator has at best been traded in for an ice packed cooler and everything revolves around the campfire. When shopping for your camping trip be sure to choose foods that do not easily spoil, that you can use for multiple recipes and if all else fails can be eaten as is.

Did you know that oranges are multipurpose? Well try this out: Cut the orange in half and eat out the fruit center, leaving the peel undamaged. In one half pour in a little instant muffin
This next recipe will impress everyone! Fill waffle cones with your favorite ice cream toppings. The possibilities are endless: mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, Reese’s, M&Ms, peanuts, shredded coconut, sliced bananas or strawberries, etc. Once you cannot put anything else in, wrap the entire cone in foil. Then place the whole thing over the fire for a few minutes.
Strawberry s’mores Here is an even easier treat to make! Tear the stem off of whole strawberries and dip them in marshmallow crème. Place a marshmallowcovered strawberry on the end of a roasting stick and then cook over the fire until it reaches your desired shade. This is a delicious treat that

camping cones Last, but not least, we have delicious banana boats. Slit each banana lengthwise through the peel, making sure not to cut all the way through to the other side. Stuff the bananas with any of the ice cream toppings suggested before. The traditional way to do this is like a s’more with just chocolate chips and mini marshmallows inside. Wrap each banana in foil and cook over a fire for about 5 minutes. Remember that when working over a campfire results will vary. Use caution when attempting these recipes! Buying a pair of tongs to remove things from the fire is highly advised. Some other useful things to have around are plastic utensils, napkins and wet wipes. The tastiest snacks are often the messiest!

aron and Amanda Wolfe live in the charming city of Ashland, Ohio, with their six precious children. They are a family burdened by the severe poverty that envelops much of the world and are committed to making a difference. They currently invest in the lives of children by providing them with true health and a bright future through World Help’s Child Sponsorship Program. They recently traveled to Uganda and also arranged to meet one of their sponsored children, Lakica Vicky. After years of correspond-

ing with, praying for, and building a relationship with Lakica, they were overjoyed for the opportunity to meet her for the first time. They arranged for Lakica to travel from her village, where she was able to spend the day with them. The Wolfe family was thrilled to spend one-on-one time with Lakica, getting to know her on a personal level. “It was amazing to meet her after all these years we’ve been sponsoring her,” Daniel said. Hearing Lakica’s story firsthand was a moving experience for them as she shared about her background and how her family was affected by the war in Northern Uganda. Her father was murdered by the
Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), leaving her mother as the sole provider for her children.

They do not receive help from their extended family as they’re seen as a burden, and her mother’s only source of income is by selling beans in the market.
Their experience with Lakica was an incredible gift after years of sponsorship, communication, and prayers and a reminder of the significance their gifts have made in the life of this child. “Meeting her really gave a face and a name to poverty,” Amanda said. “I don’t just think of poverty as a general thing. I think of the people that suffer from it.” When they returned to the States, the family made the decision to sponsor another child from Lakica’s village—a 13-year-old boy orphaned by war.
“In one sense it was a sad time to hear how much trial and struggle she had been through, but at the same time, I think we all felt the hope she was able to have through the sponsorship program,” Aaron said. Aaron and Amanda both expressed how happy they were to hear how their sponsorship provides Lakica with essential resources and a Christian edu-
