About DDC
Aaron Draplin is a designer and founder of Draplin Design Co. (DDC). The DDC has created tons of stuff related to posters, logo, web development, and illustrations. Priding itself on craftsmanship and quality, the DDC has made stuff for Field Notes, Esquire, Nike, Red Wing, Burton Snowboards, Ford Motor Co., Hughes Entertainment, and even the Obama Administration.
Education Aaron Draplin was 19 when he took off out West, to be a snowboarder. His career started with a snowboard graphic. After five winters out West, he decided to finish up a design degree at Minneapolis College of Art. In April 2000, he got an art dircetor position with SNOWBOARDER magazine. In April 2002 he accepted a Senior designer gig at Cinco design office. In 2004, Draplin Design Co. started.
Becoming a designer He was always into art and drawing when he was growing up. He liked to make his own logos and would redraw pieces of designs. There was a graphic quality to reproducing things.
