Rio de Janeiro Brazil 22°57'48.36"S 43° 8'56.98"W 2008 Academic competition 3rd Prize Collaboration Eduardo Rodríguez, Paula Román, Rita Catarinoand Stephan Püschel The project stems from an excavated void that is projected in light, which appears while extracting the interior matter. The void is the inner spirit of the island, the matter, a more elemental world made from absence. The light is a tower, a lighthouse that is hidden by day and discovered by night. A large space created inside the island that is not visible from the outside, but to whom enters it can see the light of the sun, moon, stars, the unattainable, the infinity, the connection with the cosmos.
