Merlomedia is a personal project that I started to promote my work as a freelance web and graphic designer. I created the entire web page in photoshop and then coded a new template for wordpress, starting from a base template. One of my favorite projects was the logo. I personally designed the image type using the letter M from merlomedia and transformed it into a “connective� M in order to transmit my passion for technology, connectivity and communication. I have produced a video presentation showing a normal day at my workplace followed by three of the most important projects I have done so far.

I have had the honour to design and develop the official website of “galería urbana de Salamanca”. This project converts a neighborhood of Salamanca, an important medieval city of Spain, into a street art gallery. I designed and coded the web page. My intention was to give priority to the street artwork as well as to the young artists who painted them. I designed the logo from a 360º photography that I made from the main square of the neighborhood and turned it into a “little planet”.

I designed and coded the “galería urbana app”. This app enables visitors of Salamanca to enjoy an “on time visit” and choose between two options of itineraries. The long itinerary includes the most representative street artwork of the street gallery painted by international artists. The short itinerary shows some artwork from local artists. The app not only includes a full geolocation and some interesting facts of the artwork, for example the different techniques the artists have used, but also some information about the artists themselves.

REFUGGES WOULD LIKE TO H AV E T H E S A M E P R O B L E M S Y O U H AV E
Inspired by the UNHCR ACNUR refugees campaign I wanted to contribute to the campaign by sharing my own vision about a single and senseless problem that an average person from a European capital could encounter: a simple traffic jam in the subway. I used Adobe Photoshop to create the photomontage.
ADVERTISING RAID POSTER Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “Psycho” I used the “Gestalt principle of proximity” and designed this advertising insecticide poster. The cockroaches are so close to each other, so that they compose the shape of the Janet Leigh scream face.
LA MEJILLONERA ADVERTISING POSTER I designed this poster for a very famous restaurant in Palencia, Spain. Their speciality is mostly sea food and they asked for a chalkboard look. This poster was made in Adobe Illustrator.
53 FESTIVAL JAZZALDI A POSTER Poster for the San Sebastian jazz festival. I chose a vintage look using basic shapes, and transformed the typography into a 3D vintage lettering.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT IN SALAMANCA POSTER I created this poster for the Christmas concert of the symphony orchestra of Castilla y León (COSCYL) in Salamanca, Spain. I was inspired by the St. Basil’s Cathedral, a reference to the city of Moscow, the birthplace of the famous musician and composer Tchaikowsky.
CAGE & MACCOMBIE TEA DRINK Name and label for a tea drink. I was inspired by Cage And Maccombie, two persons who created a tea drink from Amazonas region. I decided to rebrand their product, adding an extra ingredient and making it a London style tea drink.
