...to a very special ‘Coronation’ edition of our magazine. The Emblem, the Apple Guru and Pratts Pods set us on our way as we say ‘’Three Cheers’’ to Their Majesties and our Wokingham Local businesses and communities celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on May 6th.

We have delicious food and Royal recipes, fit for a King, whether that is to celebrate the Big Lunch, street parties, or barbeques in our gardens with family and friends - we have it all covered. If you are not in a mind to cook yourself, then Bombay Story Indian Kitchen invites you to the perfect ‘spicy’ street party on Peach Place on May 7th, so sit back, relax and order a cocktail. Then why not nip round to Dessert Maid (down the walkway from Waitrose) for all your delicious ice-creams and sweet treats!

‘God Save the King’ echoes as we narate events for the Coronation weekend over five pages of fabulous Royal features, and we showcase the very best of our own local businesses alongside. From high end tailors, Becker Bespoke, to the most unique and bespoke pieces of jewellery created by Goldmith Tom Murray at Thomas William Jewellery, based at Holme Grange craft village.

I spend 5 minutes with Sheona of Sewisfaction, also based at Holme Grange craft village, and the shop owners and crafters welcome everyone to their Coronation ‘Party in the Paddock’ on Monday the 8th of May.

Primelase and the Lazy Frog assist us with beauty and relaxation all the way through the celebrations, and we have a great insight into our care sector, with Walfinch Independent Home Living. Then, as always, our leading interior designers, architects, tradespeople and businesses provide us with their products and services for all our needs and requirements. We welcome new businesses to the magazine, Holtham + Newman Architects, Lush Lofts, Green Fern for mortgages and financial advice, together with our firm favourites which are now almost household names. Some of these are represented with their logo’s on the front and back covers of this issue, in appreciation of their support.
