We cannot maintain a smooth and youthful face without wrinkles forever, even tho we’d love to. You may think wrinkles are reserved for later on, but the struggle with them in your twenties isn’t odd. No matter how much you don’t like it, skin changes with age. And in the mid-20s, especially with the entry into the early 30s, the first wrinkles show up. If you wonder what they do on your face so early and how to drive them away ASAP, stop here! We’ve got your answers.
Why do forehead wrinkles appear? What does healthy skin look like in your twenties? Facial skin should be almost wrinkle-free. But “almost” doesn’t mean entirely! You look in the mirror and see those disturbing, fresh wrinkles on your forehead. They spoil your look, and unfortunately, no makeup can really interrupt them. You must be wondering, is it possible that I already have forehead wrinkles
and I am so young? Let me answer that question right away! Wrinkles don’t choose the time or place. So yes, it’s possible! Yet, it’s up to you to do everything you can to reduce them. But before we go on tips, you need to know what actually causes wrinkles in the first place.
A decrease of collagen and elastin

In your twenties, you have a favorable level of proteins naturally found in the body. Primarily, those are collagen and elastin. As a result, your skin looks shiny and tightened. But if the levels of these proteins are not in place, their production begins to slow down. Besides, each year, as you age, your skin produces about 1% less collagen. If you add up some bad habits, you get the perfect recipe for wrinkles! ADVERTISEMENTS
Bad habits So what I mean by bad habits? According to the doctor of aesthetic medicine, Milos Veljkovic, there are several of them. “Some lousy life habits make the first signs of aging worse. I’m speaking about smoking, low fluid intake, exposure to stress, and lack of fresh oxygen. Exposure to overheated and then too cold air has the same effect. That is often the case in the winter months when we first heat ourselves indoors and then go out in the cold.”
Sun exposure AYK, the connection between UV and skin aging it’s for real, so, yeah, sun exposure and solarium can add some wrinkles to your face.
Poor diet This study shows the influence of poor diet on skin aging. Antioxidants are essential in the fight against wrinkles. One of the best ways to prevent
wrinkles is by eating fruits and vegetables — the ones that contain antioxidants. Eat as many colored fruits, vegetables, and nuts as possible to get what your skin needs. Collagen-boosting foods are great too!
Lack of sleep Did you know that wrinkles can occur as a result of sleep deprivation? Yes, science proves that! Science also shows that there’s a link between wrinkles and repeatedly frowning and raising eyebrows. So, facial expressions have an impact on wrinkles too.
Genetics However, be aware that sometimes it may be in over your head. That is, it may be a genetic predisposition. For instance, certain ethnic groups seem to be more prone to early wrinkles, such as Scottish, Irish, and English. On the contrary, darker pigmented people seem to be less prone to early aging signs. Plus, always look at the tendency towards wrinkles in your family.

When should I expect the first wrinkles?
p So, you’re out of puberty and hoping your hormones don’t vary anymore. Don’t put your hopes too high! Hormones can still run in the early twenties, but it’s usually much less intense than in the teenage years. What does that mean? Your skin is still not “stable,” and you can expect some random changes. Women’s hormones calm down about the age of 25, more or less. But then, another fight begins: wrinkles. The first wrinkles will appear on the eye area, forehead, and around the lips. Although visible on the surface, wrinkles actually occur in the skin’s deeper layer. That is the dermis, which contains structural elements — collagen and elastin. ADVERTISEMENTS
Of course, aging is a natural process. But in your 20s, prevention plays a key role. How you treat your skin during this period affects the intensity of wrinkles in mature years, trust me.
How to remove forehead wrinkles in your twenties? The key to removing (and prevent) early forehead wrinkles is proper skincare and avoiding harmful factors. So, what exactly do you need for stopping wrinkles in your twenties?
Moisturize and protect skin “Proper hydration and skin protection from the sun are equally important. The signs of aging appear earlier on the skin that’s not adequately cared
for. The golden rule in skincare? Get to know your skin type! Further, it means to use the products that best suit your needs and goals. Use a cream that hydrates strengthens, and tightens the skin. You have a wide selection of wrinkle creams on the market intended for a certain age. Toxins-free products may be your best bet. Your skin, especially at such a young age, is sensitive and prone to irritations, so natural ingredients are the safest,” says skin therapist from Stockholm, Caroline Holmberg.

Use sunscreens “Sun rays can significantly damage your skin and can create wrinkles. Use UVA and UVB-blocking sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more every day,” Caroline said. We like these the most and are also without oxybenzone and octinoxate — two toxic chemicals often found in sunscreens.
Facials Some in-office treatments will help too. “Regular trips to a cosmetician for facials would help lots. I’d recommend exfoliating the skin surface with
AHAs or BHAs. Those treatments will help you get rid of damaged cells that later become wrinkles,” Caroline added.
Use retinol And don’t forget about retinol — the miracle skincare ingredients. Most experts will tell you to start using it after 25, so you should not waste time. Retinol is a form of vitamin A that does a great job keeping wrinkles and fine lines away. Studies found that the exfoliating effects of retinol can increase collagen production, epidermal thickness, and smooth the skin’s outer layer. You can start with these retinol serums.
Sleep and eat well Wrinkles on the forehead at a young age can very well be a consequence of your night outs. I know that you enjoy it (as we all do!), but the skin does not tolerate it. It’ll help if you don’t deprive your body of good sleep — while sleeping, the body fights free radicals that cause premature aging. Plus, in addition to that healthy diet, drink plenty of water! It’s necessary for maintaining soft and smooth skin.
Stress less Are you often under stress? If so, you’ll notice your skin is losing its radiance and gets wrinkled. This can happen no matter how old you are! So, keep calm and carry on! Some exercise will help you relax! Plus, sports
may help you quit smoking (if you do, I hope you don’t), which is also harmful and contributes to aging! ADVERTISEMENTS

Reverse Your Age By 20 Years: How You Can Do It
If you are in your 30s to 40s After the age of 30, the process of dermis cell renewal slows down. Why is that important? The production of collagen and elastin fibers decreases too. And further, the skin begins to lose firmness. The appearance of small wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead is entirely natural. Also, it’s common for several wrinkles to appear between the eyebrows. All care remains the same as in your twenties. Sunscreen is non-negotiable all year-round. Plus, you still need to use a moisturizer in the morning and evening. “Maintaining a good skincare routine is crucial. And that is not only for dealing with forehead wrinkles but in general. Plus, your skin can also benefit from additional professional treatments. Cosmetic peels and procedures such as microdermabrasion and needling can help stimulate collagen and elastin, while filler injections can immediately fill in facial contours,” doctor of aesthetic medicine Milos Veljkovic affirms.
If you are in your 40s to 50s and beyond Due to the hormonal imbalance, the regeneration and production of collagen and elastin slow down. And while during menopause, some processes stop entirely, what can you expect? Horizontal lines on the forehead usually begin to form, and wrinkles between your cheeks and mouth deepen while eyelids become more pronounced. How to maintain the skin healthy? Creams that aim to tighten the skin, but also the ones with exfoliating effects help improve your skin’s appearance. A serum infused with hyaluronic acid may be your best ally, as well as a collagen serum. Since hyperpigmentation becomes a concern for most women around these ages, a vit C serum may come in handy. And do I need to repeat it? SPF is a must.
What about treatments? “I recommend plasma lifting therapy. It’s a treatment with one’s own plasma — a completely safe and effective reviving skin method. It contains numerous growth factors and bioactive proteins that affect tissue regeneration and rejuvenation,” doctor Milos added. Luckily, as the years go by, we have more control over how our skin ages. For example, a 40-year-old today looks quite different than a 40-year-old from, say, the ’40s. Why? Today we have countless products and technologies, like LED masks and radiofrequency, that help us fight wrinkles, we’re more aware of what we eat and apply to our skin —
looking at you, organic makeup, and overall, we have access to information like this. So imagine what a 40-year-old woman will look like in 2040?! As they say, the forties are the new thirties!
