The Narrative Resumes We meet the Principal Characters who started that epic Ocean voyage on the ‘Mary Gould’ sailing out of Weymouth Harbour on march 30 th 1635. What makes families take the decision to sail? George Land clearly persuaded his sister in our next Musical Theme Song – “Let’s Go Sissy” As the voyage begins we invite you to get a real feel for what sailing on a wooden Square Rigged Ship would have felt like - Courtesy of a special video from the Jubilee Sailing Trust , our other Charity Beneficiary John Upham, who will return to our story in an expected turn much later, voices the feelings of many of those brave pioneers with our next Musical Theme Song – “Trusting in The Waves” . It takes almost 7 weeks before they land in New England. We are introduced to Angell Hollard, and discover the lands he was granted when he arrived. Angell fathers a large family with his long suffering wife Katherine including his daughter, the feisty Elizabeth, born in Weymouth New England in 1638. Sadly Angell wasn’t a dedicated husband Elizabeth Hollard becomes a long serving Inn Keeper in Boston, remaining a tough Landlady while she outlived three husbands ! Her premises, The Salutation Inn, gives us a surprising link back to King George III our own Royal Patron celebrated with his Esplanade Statue Angell, who spent many years absent from his family in England finally returns to Boston and passes away. We close the show with Elizabeth, now an old lady, voicing our Main Theme Song – “Angell Hollard's Tale” about her fathers troubles and his conflicted loyalty but concludes in the final verse with her declaring “ This is My Home, This is My Home”
