Briantea84 charity events

One of the biggest new events in this 2022-2023 season is the proposal by the Briantea84 society of a series of events, open to athletes, supporters, fans and supporters that wants to give a signal of a society that is increasingly real, attentive to needs, but with a great desire to TAKE A LOOK AT THE FORWARD. Because part of the proceeds will in fact go to support Briantea84's projects and the sports start-up of children and young people with disabilities. The first charity dinner event was a success. "Un risotto con Carlo Recalcati" (A risotto with Carlo Recalcati) drew the attention of more than eighty people who populated the location of the Cassina Pelada restaurant in Cantù, event partner of the initiative: there were sponsors, Board members, friends of Briantea84 and new faces who networked and came together in the name of sports and inclusion. Charlie Recalcati, an icon of Italian basketball, told his story through anecdotes, curiosities, and details of life as an athlete first and coach later. In February, another important page was written in these nearly 40 years of life, with the first edition of Swimming Donando closed in overall success. The 24-hour non-stop charity swim relay, staged at the Cantù Pool, went far beyond expectations. Seven teams registered - "only" six were initially planned -, with 367 participants and 525 kilometers and 400 meters grinded to the sound of strokes (13 of which were added thanks to donations). March featured the charity event "Superstar," the rock opera staged at La Campanella Theater in Bovisio Masciago. For once it was not about sports, but it still united the whole Briantea84 family because they wanted to celebrate Alfredo Marson, unforgettable president and founder of the association, who died prematurely last August. Art in the service of aggregation but also of memory, as was in the temperament of the eclectic president. The show was brought to the stage by Oltre Noi, a theater company unique in its kind because it was created with the purpose of using animation and music to donate funds to support various causes. The event had a charitable purpose: all proceeds, in fact, went to the white-blue club's projects to start young people with disabilities in sports. New initiatives will be scheduled for the coming months and it will be possible to be updated on the appointments on the briantea84.it website.
