Uncle Su: A Taste of Cantonese Comfort

At Uncle Su, The Star Gold Coast’s signature Cantonese restaurant, guests can indulge in the freshest seafood, hand-made yum cha and a delicious blend of Cantonese style favourites. All matched with an award-winning wine list.

The three richly appointed private dining rooms at provide the perfect backdrop for celebrations with family, friends and colleagues. Choose from three unique spaces, accommodating up to 36 guests. The team, led by Chef Song Yao Su who (who inspired the restaurant name) has developed an eclectic menu that fuse region specific cuisines including Cantonese, Beijing, Szechuan, Shanghai, Hunan Gourmet, Thai and national native specialties.

Kiyomi: An Intimate Japanese Retreat

At the heart of this private culinary journey is Kiyomi, featuring a brand new 16-seat private dining room that blends traditional Japanese heritage with modern luxury. This intimate space provides guests a retreat away from the bustle of the main restaurant where they can indulge in meticulously crafted cuisine.

Guests indulging in the premium Omakase menu, are welcomed with an exclusive sake ceremony with Sake Sommelier, Yuichi Kanamaru, followed by ten-course degustation menu, showcasing the finest Australian produce. This immersive, private experience is complete with live chef demonstrations that highlight the artistry of Japanese cuisine.

Head Chef Winson Law is passionate about creating dishes that not only celebrate the flavours of Japan but also emphasise the quality of local ingredients. “Our aim is to provide a culinary journey that reflects the best of both Japanese and Australian cuisine,” he explains. The menu features seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques that elevate traditional recipes.

For an exclusive private dining experience like no other, Nineteen at The Star offers breathtaking skyline views from its chic nineteenth floor location in The Darling. Up to 26 guests are invited to climb the ribbon staircase or take the dedicated lift to the private dining room, located above the main floor.
