Kenmore Lodge
KRISTEN MANNING
What a great success story the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale was for Cameron and Kellie Bond’s Kenmore Lodge and with an even stronger draft being prepared for 2020 the couple are understandably excited.
In 2019 Kenmore sold four yearlings at the sale and two of those fetched triple figures; an imposing Exosphere filly (named Passistas trained by Matthew Smith) sold to Mystery Downs for $230,000 whilst an eye-catching Sebring colt (named Navalha in the Snowden stable) was knocked down to James Harron for $475,000.
It was a similar story in 2018 with another two six figure horses from a small draft and there is bound to be further success this time around.
An atmosphere that cannot be matched anywhere. Sun, surf and the success of the sale which is unrivalled. Top class trainers and owners from all over the world are there.
We are a family owned and operated boutique farm selling at all the major sales throughout the year. We have three properties consisting of an accumulative 600 acres or so.
We bred with approximately 25 mares including the dams of five stakes winners as well as some lovely young mares.
We think it is easily our best offering. Two are out of half-sisters to Golden Slipper Stakes-Gr.1, 1200m winners, another is a close relation to the super race mare Gypsy Diamond. Also included in our draft is a 3/4 sister to the stakes winner Japhils, a Capitalist half-sister to the stakes winner Sircconi, two lovely horses by the wonderful stallion Pierro, one by the superstar stallion Written Tycoon and a couple by the exciting young stallions Rubick and American Pharoah.
Hong Kong; the racing and the people are first class
A produce store, I know how much it is costing us every time another truck load of feed arrives in this drought.
Probably a campdraft with our family, our nieces and nephews.
It is definitely a more challenging era to grow up in. Social media and mobile phones have the ability to be of real detriment.
