It’s retro time as designer Swatee Singh brings back the look ‘n feel of the rocking ‘70s through her LUNA’21 collection that takes you through the ‘70s trends all across Europe.

Trend Stepper: This collection is a clear display of how fashion for women during the ‘70s was varied and highly experimental. Popular styles included midi skirts, wide legged pants, voluminous sleeves, scarf collars etc.

Suited ‘N’ Tailored:

In the middle of the decade, women began to enter the workforce at a higher rate, which led to more tailored business styles.

LUNA is a collection of timeless pieces, fit and flared midi and maxi dresses that bring amped up work appropriate clothing with stylized jumpsuits, sophisticated midi dresses, coordinates and also high-waisted widelegged pants.

Let’s Party: In the mid-late ‘70s, disco styles were ruling the fashion industry. Check out the metallic pieces in the collection for all those disco nights! Women also moved towards sequined shirts and high slit skirts and dresses. Swatee’s pieces are primarily designed combining metallic hues, deep colours, deep plunging necklines and statement patterns.

Hue Right: The collection colour card is highly representative of the colours that were preferred during the ‘70s - mahogany, moss green, midnight blue combined with the evergreen scarlet and black.
