LAST YEAR’S WINNER

1952 Jaguar C-type

Returning to the Honourable Artillery Company in 2020 is last year’s winner of Best in Show, this extraordinarily preserved 1952 Jaguar C-type.

The stunning green model boasts an esteemed pedigree, having played an important role in Jaguar’s racing heritage. It appeared in the Monaco Grand Prix driven by Tommy Wisdom, and later Stirling Moss drove it for much of the 1952 season. It was presented at last year’s London Concours in its original 1953 Mille Miglia livery, and was a big hit among both visitors and judges.

The C-type is one of the few cars to have changed the automotive industry; its introduction of disc brakes altered the course of road and racing cars inexorably.

This Jaguar will be hosted on an elegant rotating stage, so that guests can savour the details of a car that is steeped in motor sport history and beautifully preserved in period condition.
