Ready to Break Ground: The DiSanto Visual Arts Center

Since the announcement of the DiSanto Family gift that will transform Magnificat’s visual arts wing this summer, the educational architects at Fielding International have been collaborating with students, alumnae, and the visual arts faculty to develop the renderings pictured here. The goal of the new space — and all educational renovations executed by Fielding — is to create an open, fluid environment that invites innovative learning across disciplines. This will be the fourth space transformed by the visionary team at Fielding, who has worked with Magnificat over the past decade on the designs for the Marian Commons, Humility of Mary Center, and the Sisters of the Humility of Mary Center for Science Exploration & Innovation. The first phase of the visual arts renovation will take place during the summer of 2022, with the second phase following during summer of 2023. You can help Magnificat reach the next $1 million goal toward the completion of phase two of the campaign, which will transform the clay, metals, and photography studios into state-of-the-art spaces while also supporting Magnificat’s Motogo mechanical engineering program.
