APPROACH Since architecture holds a fundamental connection to every sociocultural aspect of our lives, I have always found the connection between subject, society and material reality extremely important in shaping architecture. My approach draws heavily on the existing contextual implications of a site in the pursuit to create something befitting the user, and in turn improving the spatial qualities. This does not mean I look at context as homogenizing architecture through material familiarity or iconography, but rather through the phenomenological and rational programmatic ideas and experiences of a place.

WORK EXPERIENCE I’ve worked in various fields throughout the years, including bartending, elder care, security, music and stagecraft. the commonalities between those jobs being their social and cultural aspects. Through my experiences in these multiple roles, I’ve seen the phenomenological aspects of architecture in many contexts. As a user, server, maintainer, carer, entertainer and guard.
