West Moors Fun Day at the Farm
On Saturday 18th July 2015, we will be hosting our first ever Fun Day at the Farm event, which we are all getting very excited about! We will be bringing together two existing events; the West Moors Fun Day and Sturts Community Trust’s Summer Fete into one exciting family day out. This fantastic family day out will include such events and attractions as: •
A variety of delicious homemade food showcasing the best of our organic produce – barbecues, pizza, paella, cream-teas and much more • Fully licensed bar featuring local beers, ales and ciders • Arena events - dog shows, gun-dog displays • Children’s entertainments- bouncy castle, storytelling, funfair rides, tractor rides • Live bands – including “Cash Converted”, a Johnny Cash tribute • A fabulous array of stalls selling sweets, gifts, crafts and all sorts of goodies • The chance to see our farm animals and enjoy donkey rides and our ‘Pony Palace’ • Ample parking on-site ..and much more!
LAST YEAR’S EVENT ATTRACTED OVER 2,000 VISITORS, AND WE ARE HOPING TO OUT-DO THAT NUMBER THIS YEAR!

Sturts Community Trust is an exciting venture bringing together a range of social initiatives built around our vision of promoting sustainability. We have our base on Sturts Farm, a 90 acre working organic biodynamic farm on the outskirts of West Moors. As a Camphill Community, Sturts Farm has, for well over 30 years, been offering landbased work opportunities, individualised support and supported living for adults
who have a learning disability. With the founding of the Sturts Community Trust we are building on this rich history by opening up our resources and expertise in social work and agriculture to benefit a wider range of individuals within our local community in East Dorset. Our vision is to promote opportunities in land-based activities, including on our farm, in our garden and by providing allotment spaces; opportunities for lifelong learning based around the themes of sustainability,
food and the arts; to offer opportunities to benefit from accommodation within our co-housing project; and to offer individuals the level of individualised support they need. Sturts Community Trust aims to be a vibrant and valued resource within our local community by offering access to a local farm and to local food and through this to build relationships through working and learning together.

Dog Show Terms and Conditions of Entry • Rosettes for all entrants. • Dogs are the responsibility of their owners/ handlers at all times. • Dogs must be kept on leads. • Please pick up your dog waste and dispose in the bins provided. • The Judges decisions are final. • No bitches in season please. • Dogs docked after 6th April 2007 may not be entered in the show. • All dogs entered in the show must be over 6 months old, in good health and free from Kennel Cough or other contagious diseases.
