/HELLO! NARRATIVE
My name is Maha Moustafa Habib, and I was born and raised in the Middle-East, where I studied and nurtured my aspiration for Architecture and Design. My work and interest covers a wide range of fields: interactive architecture, industrial design, generative and computational design. As a prospering Architect, I believe in a simple yet effective ideology: that innovation in design is about finding a new way forward; Collaboration is the way to get to innovation, and design is about mapping out a distinct future. Together, the orchestration of the following sets out a new and better way forward. I was fortunate to have witnessed the following while undergoing my masters at the Architectural Association (AADRL) and while working for a design team in Dubai. Due to my proactive nature, I am seeking to continue pursing my passion for finding innovative solutions. I am in search of a creative environment in which I can foster and nurture my talents, where I can work with equally passionate and creative individuals, where I can learn and keep learning and develop my skills.

RETAIL - LEADER SPORTS COMPLEX Leader Sports Complex Mall is situated in the Mirdif neighborhood, surrounded by community based residential housing. In addition, a large community shopping mall, Mirdif City Centre is adjacent to the site. Because of the different shopping and entertainment offers we believe City Centre will only strengthen Leader Sports Mall by capturing significant footfall. Leader Sport Complex design strategy of livening the mall and creating an experience linked with healthy living and active lifestyle was achieved by bringing the raw materials and natural elements. Bringing wood, hot rolled steel, concrete and plant life into the space will help revoke healthy and natural lifestyle.

RETAILThe proposed design compromises of a 45 story luxury residential tower features 1-4 bedroom units, all with sea views overlooking the Palm Jumeirah and Blue Waters projects in the Gulf. The podium contains high end amenities including pool, gym, spa and dining areas in addition to a beach club with its own facilities for visitors. The spacious units all enjoy private sky gardens with excellent visibility of the beach and nearby landmarks while maintaining privacy.

RETAIL - MALL OF THE EMIRATES Mall of the Emirates is a leading shopping mall in the Middle East. It ranks among the top 10 most lucrative malls in the world based on gross sales per square foot, and number one in the Middle East. For its expansion and modifications, DLR Groupâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s design team worked with the client to maintain the overall luxurious design aesthetic while blending additional spaces seamlessly into the existing mall. New enhancements for the mall include a new fashion district featuring more than 30 contemporary and lifestyle brands and a new dining tower destination.

COMMERCIAL & RETAIL - CLASSIC CAR-SHOWROOM The proposed design holds 100 cars of excellent pedigree and puts them on prominent display. The simplicity of the buildingâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s lines allows the curves of the classic autos to be shown against a clear backdrop. Natural light is taken deep into the building without adding direct solar heat gain, through the application of passive solar design strategies. As a result the need for artificial lighting during the daytime is minimal, without increasing cooling loads. The simple and clear facades express the value of the Tomini brand: strength without ostentatious display, clarity without excessive detail, permanence, and adaptability.

LUXURIOUS ELEGANT PRESTIGIOUS
HOSPITALITY - JBR BEACH FRONT HOTEL The intension is to create a unique icon along the walk with multiple F&B destinations and nightlife components. This project compromises of a total count of 263 high end key, all sea facing units. The building is designed with a parametric shading-facade, creating a unique elevation along the heavily trafficked JBR walk. The design is contemporary and daring with a prestige flair appropriate to the atmosphere of Dubaiâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Marina and JBR area.

MICROCOSM - HOUSE The project addresses the possibility of achieving a holistic approach for the articulation of system design. The research focuses on the development of a novel house prototype, House systems, the vehicle and the interface between them are reinterpreted and juxtaposed as multi-functional composite arrangement. Incorporating the different characteristics of each and their behavior together will ultimately generate a universal state that is adaptable and interchangeable. The house spaces are then considered as subsidiary spaces that are the consequences of both users and external information. The articulation of the system thus changes from a superficial model to an integrated model where systems behavior and its adaptability initiates an ongoing exchange, interaction and dialogue between the users and the composite.

ISOLATION STRUCTURE - RECONFIGURABLE TERRAIN MACHINE The preliminary stage of the project progressed with a single unit/module which advanced with several generations & manipulations. Accordingly, the aggregated units developed through a series of physical and digital experiments investigating techniques to construct a frame-work structure for habitable and spatial purposes. The cluster of modules evolved into a skeletal structure that is flexible and re-configurable in response to the program its assigned. The developed structure also adopts pods that allow for private enclosures and spaces suitable for isolation purposes. These pods, whether utilized for retirement, meditation, or asylum purposes, are designed for temporary use in remote terrains such as the desert, mountain, ocean, or marsh-land etc...

CINEMATIC IN THE MAKING - MUSEUM OF MOVING IMAGES From moving image to moving architecture a â&#x20AC;&#x153;space timeâ&#x20AC;? phenomenon of the twentieth century, with reference to architecture, media, and music. The idea that space and time are linked presents a possibility of merging art forms traditionally perceived as either temporal or spatial. The moving image is a medium that inherently combines space and time through sound, image, and motion. These images have the potential to engagingly simulate the individual visually, through an interaction of simultaneous projecting events. Past, present, and the future can all be presented non-linearly, as the new conception of time-space becomes firmly rooted in the present experience.
