~ Maia Peck is a Masters in Architecture I student at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. She received a B.A. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) in art history and archaeology from Brown University, as well as a M.A. in Medieval Art with Distinction from the Courtauld Institute in London, and a M.A. in Art History with Distinction from the University College of London. She has worked in offices in New York City and Shanghai. Prior to graduate school, she also worked in galleries and for several art institutions, including MoMA and The Guggenheim in New York. In her own work, she is interested in exploring the intersections of architecture, art and design and the ways in which architecture is in active conversation with various art forms, including dance, installation, performance art, and music.

Neri & Hu Design and Research Office, Shanghai: Architectural Intern, May – August 2015 Assisted in Design Development and Schematic Design phases of a chapel in Suzhou, China, with particular focus on the detailing of a wooden lattice veil in the ceremonial hall. Made life-scale physical models of detail elements, digital models using SketchUp.
Rogers Partners, New York City: Architectural Intern, June – August 2014 Created digital models, renderings and diagrams for the Helsinki Guggenheim competition. Assisted with preliminary design schemes for a school extension and facade. Prepared documentation for a streetscape in Battery Park, New York City.
Terreform, Inc., New York: Research / Editorial Assistant, Summer 2009 Conducted research and editorial work for Michael Sorkin, president and chair of a non-profit organization for sustainable architecture and urbanism.
