Workshop 2
In order to analyse a site, you have to survey it, to live it, to feel it to understand it in the best way. This is how we can reveal it through a project approach.
The Passage under the railway at Versailles is today, as its name indicates, only a crossing point. Nevertheless, by surveying and observing, a multitude of details have been revealed, as in a gallery. Many mosses, tags, lierres and ferns constitue the identity of this passage. However, passers-by do not pay attention. The heart of this place, the one that gives it life, is the skylight located between the two bridges. It is the only place where we can see the sky, receiving the sun’s rays on our skin. It is the one that makes us want to pause.
Through different models, we highlighted the strengths of each site and then we were able to exploit them in our project approaches.

The surveys were used to create the documents on which we relied to produce the project outline phase. One of the highlights of this site is the incredible presence of acanthes, on which we have focused our project to create unique atmospheres and games of light. We carried out our project over 3 days at the end of the workshop.
