LA PLASTICA NEL MARE / PLASTIC IN THE SEA Ogni anno almeno 8 milioni di tonnellate di plastica si riversano nell'oceano, per una quantità pari al contenuto di un camion di spazzatura al minuto. Se non viene intrapresa alcuna azione, la quantità di rifiuti in plastica aumenterà fino a 2 camion al minuto entro il 2030 e 4 entro il 2050. Le materie plastiche possono rimanere in mare per centinaia di anni nella loro forma originale, o anche più a lungo in piccole particelle. La quantità di plastica nell'oceano, pertanto, tende ad aumentare nel tempo. Oggi si stima ci siano oltre 150 milioni di tonnellate di rifiuti plastici nei mari. Senza un'azione significativa, entro il 2050 nell’oceano avremo probabilmente più plastica che pesci.
At least 8 million tons of plastic pour into the ocean every year, which is equivalent to down loading a truck of rubbish in the ocean per minute. If no action is taken, it will increase up to 2 trucks per minute within 2030 and 4 per minute within 2050. Plastics can stay in the ocean for hundreds of years in their original form and even longer in small particles. Therefore, the plastic quantity in the ocean tends to increase over time. Today, there are over 150 million tons of plastic waste in the ocean. Without significant action, in the ocean there maybe more plastic than fish within 2050. .

RPET/ RPET Il RPET (Recycled PET) è il materiale ottenuto dal recupero e riciclo dei principali oggetti realizzati in PET (bottiglie di plastica, contenitori per alimenti, plastica monouso...). Il PET recuperato dai rifiuti, nei centri di riciclaggio viene ripulito da particelle estranee e trasformato in nuova materia prima. Con il RPET si possono pertanto realizzare nuovi prodotti tra i quali shopping bags e altri articoli di packaging.
