With the launch in 2021 of the Stami Green Ammonia technology, Stamicarbon has become an ammonia licensor for small-scale ammonia plants. It is a CAPEX competitive technology, offering a solid reference base, high reliability and proven design. Besides in grass roots, it can also be applied in existing plants, as part of a hybrid technology solution to make existing fertilizer production more sustainable. Next to ammonia production it can be used as a renewable energy carrier (e.g. in shipping fuel) or as a renewable feedstock for other processes. The Stami Green Ammonia technology offers a total solution for carbon-free and sustainable ammonia production.
Our Ultra-Low Energy Design that results in unrivalled energy savings by reducing both steam and cooling water consumption considerably. It can be applied in grass root urea projects, as well as in revamping existing urea plants, irrespective of the original technology or age of the plant. In 2021 the first two plants went into operation in China. Further there are two plants under construction in Turkey and China and two new licenses for a customer in China were signed.
Our MicroMist™ Venturi and Jet venturi Scrubbing systems can remove submicron urea dust particles at extremely high efficiencies, which is more and more necessary as fine particle emission regulations are becoming increasingly strict worldwide. Two MMV scrubbers are in operation and three more are in the construction and start-up phase.
Our Stami Digital portfolio offers digital process solutions and services to improve plant effectiveness and boost plant productivity. This suite includes remote guidance, process monitoring and automatic plant optimization. Also part of the suite is a high fidelity real-time dynamic training simulator for urea and granulation plants, as well as for the adjacent ammonia, nitric acid and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) plants. Next to urea, we offer two types of nitric acid technologies: mono pressure for capacities up to 600 tons per day and dual pressure to 2,000 tons a day. Both processes are characterized by high tail gas temperature and are designed for maximum energy recovery, reliable operation and minimal greenhouse gas emissions.
