K
ick start your once in a lifetime biker tour from LA, known as the city of dreams and cruise out towards the Grand Canyon through the Valley of Fire, watching the neon lights of ‘Vegas baby’ light up the horizon. Visit Cadillac ranch in Oklahoma: ride on through Kansas; Missouri and lastly Illinois. For the hard-core riders out there your final destination, located in the far East, is Chicago but you can choose to cruise for as long as you like. Can you hack the full 3,945 KM? You can take the trip solo or ride with an organised tour, the decision is up to you but the only aspect the Americans like to insist on is that its all done on the back of a Harley and you’ll hear no complaints from us!
There’s an unlimited choice of bikes, would you rather make the trip on a Low Rider, the Electra Glide or the Fat Bob? That crucial decision is all yours to make. You can book in advance or test drive when you get there. Editors trip: Pick up the Fat Bob and ride on out through the desert, hitting Vegas as you go. Stop at the Grand Canyon and ditch the bike for a day and take to the air in a helicopter tour. Resume your Bike trip and head east taking in the scenery until you arrive in Oklahoma where a pit stop is a necessity. Push on until the very end because Chicago is really worth the wait.
