W EL C OM E Welcome to The Maitland Aroma Coffee and Chocolate Festival. This year’s festival program invites you to ward off the winter chill and indulge in some of the finest coffee and chocolate from around the region. Wander through over 80 stalls to discover delicious food, coffee, chocolate, beer, wine and a range of gourmet goodies and artisan products. Discover the latest trends in the use and preparation of coffee and chocolate at Aroma’s Flavour Stage and Hunter TAFE’s Demonstration Stage. Be sure to check out one of the live art installations, or take a break in one of the festival’s lounge areas or laneway café whilst enjoying live music from the Crema Stage and roving performers. Kids will enjoy the dedicated kids café area, with free cupcake decorating. Additional kids’ activities are spread throughout the Levee Lifestyle Precinct, just a short walk to the east of the festival site. Please note that alcohol service at Aroma will cease at 3.30pm each day.

Learn the fundamentals of creating Danish pastries, croissants, pain au chocolate and bread styles with Hunter TAFE, led by Dean Tilden, expert baker, teacher and 2015 Captain and Member of the Australian Baking Team.

The Levee Shared Zone Kids Activities

Babychinos Kids Café

From 10.00am to 3.00pm, The Levee Shared Zone will feature free children’s activities. Bring the kids to get their face painted, take home a balloon, learn how to juggle in the circus workshop or event find a comfy seat for story time.

Kids will enjoy this dedicated space within the festival, featuring table top games and free cup cake decorating. Espresso Sketch Personalise your coffee with a sketch from one of Aroma’s live sketch artists on a #MyMaitland biodegradable coffee cup. Live Art Watch as our resident artist creates a large scale painting over the course of the weekend using coffee and tea as the medium.

My Maitland Paul Foley Mini Photography Workshops Paul Foley from Lightmoods Photography will be at the High Street entry to Maitland Library over the weekend, where you can learn how Paul finds the perfect image and the technqiues he uses to capture it. No camera needed, just come along and learn about all things photography. Workshops are scheduled at 11.00am and 1.00pm on Saturday, and 11.00am, 1.00pm, 3.00pm Sunday.
