W EL C OM E Welcome to Aroma Coffee and Chocolate Festival, Riverside, Central Maitland. This year marks Maitland’s 10th annual celebration of winter comforts, featuring some of the finest coffee and chocolate from around the region. We invite you to wander throughout the event and discover 80 stalls with delicious food, coffee, chocolate, beer, wine and a range of gourmet goodies and artisan products. Be sure to check out the art installations, visit the featured areas or take a break in one of the festival’s lounge areas, riverside picnic area, or laneways whilst enjoying live music from the Crema Stage and roving performers. Learn the latest trends in coffee and chocolate preparation and uses at the Flavour Stage, featuring live demonstrations presented by local chocolatiers, baristas, roasters, industry experts and chefs. For a more interactive experience, visit Katherine Mahoney Ceramics for one of the three daily throwing demonstrations, pop into the Brownie Bar to create your own custom made treat or visit the kids cafe for a crafty cup activity.

Please note that sales of alcohol for consumption at the event will cease at 3.30pm each day, however takeaway alcohol sales will be available until 4.00pm.

T h ro w ing D emo nstrat io ns Celebrated ceramicist, Katherine Mahoney will be running a series of throwing demonstrations on a pottery wheel. There will be three demonstrations each day, showing how Katherine creates one of her unique, wheel thrown pieces. You can also purchase a handcrafted piece of Katherine’s work, including a reusable Claycup. Demonstrations are free, however spaces are limited. Session times (both days): • • •

M o r e Ac tivit ies Brownie Bar Make your own unique custom brownie creation. Hosted by The Cunning Culinarian, the Brownie Bar lets you get creative with a wide range of ingredients to choose from to make the ultimate brownie, just the way you like it. Participation for a gold coin donation. 10.30am – 3.30pm (both days), unless stock runs out prior. Babyccinos Kids Café Located near the Riverside Walk, the kids café is a fun space where kids can relax, play games and enjoy colouring in their own keepsake Aroma coffee cup. Pop Up Library (Saturday Only) Located near the Babyccinos Kids Café and hosted by Maitland Library, the pop-up library features storytelling, a chill out space for children, a guessing competition, giveaways and plenty of books on chocolate, coffee and cooking. Hunter Art Bazaar The Hunter Arts Network (HAN) are running an Art Bazaar Pop-up in The Levee Shared Zone this weekend. Running from 10.00am to 3.00pm both days, the Pop-up will offer for sale a selection of original, handmade, locally produced artworks from stalls ranging from small gazebos down to ‘suitcase’ sellers. Make sure to pass by the Pop-up on your way to or from the event and enjoy meeting the artists and designers of the region. 11
