Curious Legends Riverlights Finale Before this land was known as Maitland, the Wonnarua people lived here. They still live here today. ‘Beginnings’ shares their lore of the dreamtime, before this land was the Hunter as we know it. Soaring birds and giant frogs combined with shadow puppets and floating rafts create a modern day retelling of an ancient story. What happens when one greedy frog drinks up all the water? A collaboration between Curious Legends and Wonnarua people, ‘Beginnings’ shows us where it all began. Audience participation in the performance is welcome. Grab a lantern from the Curious Legends table to be part of the parade and performance. ‘Beginnings’ is a collaboration between Curious Legends with Joanne Nelson, Uncle Warren Taggart, and John Robinson.
