COMPLIMENTARY TOUR OF CURRENT EXHIBITIONS

Meet likeminded folk and be inspired by the work of artists in a complimentary tour through current exhibitions at Maitland Regional Art Gallery. See works by contemporary artists and their luminaries across eight exhibitions, including Deborah Kelly, Hannah Gartside, Ileigh Hellier, Jane Lander, Jayanto Tan, Kate Rohde, Tinky and Valerie Marshall Strong Olsen.

Confined but Free! aims to reveal the story of the forgotten women who were employed in the corrective system during the 19th century. While not guilty of any crimes, the conditions of these women’s employment kept them virtual prisoners within the gaol. Come along to hear Dr Harrison explore the reason behind her research and the way she went about it.
