Introduction to the Project In March 2014 the Loch Lomond Distillery Company aquired a history which goes back to at least 1772 with the founding of the Littlemill Distillery. In 1814, the original site of the Loch Lomond Group distillery was established near Tarbet towards the North West of Loch Lomond. In 1832 the Glen Scotia distillery was founded in Campbeltown and is one of only three distilleries remaining in Campbeltown from that era. The 3 locations are Catrine, Alexandria & Campbeltown. The works at Catrine consisted of stripping out existing office, reconfiguration including brick walls, suspended ceilings, floor coverings, sanitary ware & forming new offices as per the clients specification. New glazed partitions, suspended ceilings, light fittings , heat recovery units, sanitary ware & decor throughout including floor coverings.

Worksmart’s Intervention
A bright, modern office was the remit for Loch Lomond Group at Catrine. Worksmart stripped out the previous exposed brick and timber panelled offices to open up the available space. Optima glazed partitioning systems in black coated aluminium were used to create an open plan office complete with new reception and management suites as well as renovated WC facilities and kitchen area. This fit-out established a modern, spacious and bright work environment to enable Loch Lomond Group Catrine to proceed to the next stage of the company’s development.
“I worked closely with Worksmart Contracts during Phase 1 & 2 of the office
refurbishment of Loch Lomond Group, Glen Catrine site. I found the contractors on site to be very professional in all works they carried out, with all works completed on time and delivered to a very high standard. The project was coordinated by Worksmart Contracts and I found Worksmart to be very courteous and helpful during the works. The task was also carried out with minimal disruption to our offices which had to maintain functionality at all times during the project. All Health & Safety requirements were adhered to with all Risk Assessments and Method Statements delivered by Worksmart before commencements of works. I would have no issue with recommending Worksmart Contracts to clients in the future.”
