The triple offset design was initially developed in the late 1970s, this metal seated valve with excellent flow characteristics and high capacity has replaced many others in several applications. RAC is a leading provider of triple offset zero leakage butterfly valves and offers the market a high quality product designed for stringent service applications. RAC TOV28000 triple offset butterfly valves are easier to maintain with less shutdown and reduced maintenance costs. The metal seated valves able to provide maximum resistance during high intensity applications and meet engineering standards and requirements.

OVERVIEW
TRIPLE OFFSET METAL SEATED VALVES RAC TOV28000 triple offset valves are the ideal solution for positive shut off or control applications in critical environments, is provided a bidirectional zero leakage to API 598 and API 6D. The triple offset has been designed to support extreme operating conditions, whether of high temperature or high pressure, the design has been developed in order to completely eliminate friction between the seat and the disc seal ring.

TRIPLE OFFSET WORKING OFFSET 1: The shaft is offset behind the seat axis to allow complete sealing contact around the entire seat. OFFSET 1
OFFSET 2: The shaft centerline is offset from the pipe and valve which provides interference free opening and closing of the valve. OFFSET 3: The seat cone axis is offset from shaft centerline to eliminate friction during closing and opening and to achieve uniform compressive sealing around the entire seat.

OVERVIEW
The compression forces equally distributed around the perimeter provide a tight bi-directional shut-off. The resiliency of the seal allows the valve body and disc to contract or expand, without the risk of jamming due to temperature fluctuations. It is self-adjusting.
RADIAL LOADING
RAC TOV28000 Triple offset butterfly valve, which joins together the compactness and lightness features of the traditional butterfly valves with the extreme sealing features described above, is in competition with the traditional valves presently on the market (gate, ball, piston check ...), since, compared with them it presents remarkable advantages as far as weight and overall dimensions are concerned, as shown in the table herebelow:

DESIGN
TRIPLE OFFSET VALVE DESIGN BODY The constructive versions are those mentioned in the previous pages, with ends suitable to surfaces and to the sealing gaskets of the pipeline flanges and in accordance with the standards requested by the customer.
BODY SEAT It is integral with the body in the stainless steel and special alloys versions. It is machined to obtain its particular elliptical shape which perfectly fits with the sealing ring. Its particular shape, together with the stem double eccentricity, avoids any creeps with the sealing ring, during the disc rotation.
DISC It is compact and shaped in such a way to offer the lowest possible resistance to the medium passage as well as a low dynamic torque.
LAMINATED SEAL RING It is built with intercalating metal rings with gasket materials (graphite, AFM or similar) absolutely free of elastomers and PTFE, our standard laminated seal to 427ºC, solid seal ring is available for high temperature applications up to 600ºC.
ONE-PIECE SHAFT The shaft is made of one-piece and dust-proof seal design, this allows the better distribution. It is mounted on the bushings and has a bottom adjustable flange for the shaft blowout protection conforms to API609.
BUSHINGS The bushings are made of stainless steel with a surfacing anti-friction hardening; where more exacting applications are required they are made of high quality alloys.
PACKING In the most cases it is made of graphite pre-compressed rings inserted into a stuffing box in the body and kept under compression by a gland with adjustment rods. For particular operating conditions other materials can be used.

DESIGN
CONNECTIONS The Flanged type valves, having flanges with through holes, can be used as pipeline terminal being fixed with separate rods to a piece of pipeline. The Lugged type, more compact and with face-to-face dimensions lower than the flanged one, can also be used as pipeline terminal with the difference that the holes in the body are threaded. The Wafer type is much lighter than the previous two and, even if it has the same face-to-face dimensions of the Lugged type. Butt weld type, end to end dimensions for BW valves can vary based on customer requirements. In the standard version, the coupling flanges can be made in accordance with current standards such as UNI - DIN - ANSI or upon request, according to ISO - MSS - API – BS
RESILIENT METAL SEAL Contact is made between seat and seal only as final shut off position is reached. The torque applied to seat the valve generates radial forces that uniformly compress the metal seal ring. Seat is hardfaced with Stellite® 21 alloy and the gasket is spiral wound SS/Graphite for zero leakage. OPEN

Cv FLOW COEFFICIENT
Cv FLOW COEFFICIENT To select the butterfly valve correctly, we have to consider the working conditions (pressure, temperature, medium) and the flow coefficient (Cv or Kv in metric units) which is a number that directly relates the flow or capacity through the valve and/or the pressure drop. The Cv represents, in imperial units, the water capacity in U.S. gallons per minute passing through the valve causing the pressure loss of 1 psi at the temperature of 60°F. The Kv represents, in metric units, the water capacity in m3/h passing through the valve causing the pressure loss 1 bar at the temperature of 20°C. Cv CURVE

OVERVIEW
RAC TOV28000 Triple Offset Cryogenic Butterfly Valves are specially designed for liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and LNG. The main feature is an extended bonnet with a sufficient gas column to isolate packing from the cryogenic fluid. TOV28000 Cryogenic valves are qualified for use in LNG application.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
General: The drawings and quotation are the property of RAC. It contains confidential information. Without permission, the others are not able to reproduce or copy it. In the event this drawings and quotation become an order, the Buyer may retain the proposal for use in connection with the equipment covered by this order and for that purpose only make such copies thereof as may be necessary. 10. 1. Supplier: The supplier refers to RAC and all of its affiliated or related entities, including but not limited to its parent, subsidiary, affiliated companies, their offices, directors, employees and agents, individually and collectively. 2. Customer: The customer refers to the buyers and users and all of its affiliated or related entities, including but not limited to its parent, subsidiary, affiliated companies, their offices, directors, employees and agents, individually and collectively. 3. Equipment: The equipment refers to any goods and service, items of supply or equipment or property ordered or purchased by Customer from Supplier or provided by Supplier, including but not limited to: valves, fittings, product or general equipment, supplies, parts, materials, supplies and merchandise sold by Supplier or provided in connection with Supplier’s provider capabilities or needed by Supplier to assist Supplier in the performance and delivery of its product to Customer. 4. Prices: The prices quoted for the equipment, parts, labor or services. Unless otherwise stated, the prices shall remain valid for thirty days from date of price quotation or as stated in proposal. Prices, unless otherwise specified, do not include the services of a service consultant. 5. Taxes: Customer shall be responsible for all customs fees, duties, and foreign, local taxes(including sales, use, excise or similar taxes and foreign withholding taxes). 6. Payment: The terms of payment shall be T/T or L/C subject to both parties agreement. 7. Delivery: Supplier shall make reasonable efforts to ship by the dates specified; however, Supplier shall not be liable for any delay or failure in the estimated delivery or shipment of material and equipment or for any damages suffered by reason thereof. Specifically time shall not be considered of essence for the order. Shipping dates shall be extended for delays due to Acts of God, Acts of Buyer, Acts of Government, fires, floods, accidents, strikes, riot, war, embargo, lack of fuel, machine breakdown, transportation shortage, delay or default on the parts of its vendors, or any other cause, whereof the same class or kind, beyond its reasonable control. 8. Consequential and Incidental Damage: Supplier will not be responsible for consequential or incidental damages of any kind, which shall include, but not be limited to, loss of profits, use or business opportunity, damages for failure to meet deadlines, pollution damages and/or wreck or debris removal expense and Customer holds harmless and indemnifies supplier from all harm arising from any claims made against supplier from out of any of these things. 9. Warranty: For valves, within two years of date of shipment or one year after installation, whichever occurs first, Supplier will, at its option, repair, replace or refund the purchase price of that portion of the goods found by the supplier to have material or workmanship defects. goods are properly stored, maintained and installed. RAC does not warrant the repair or replacement of soft goods such as packing or gaskets. In addition, Supplier assumes no responsibility for goods returned without Supplier’s written authorization. For replacement parts & repair service, within 1 year of date of shipment. Assignment: Customer may not assign any rights or obligations hereunder, without Supplier’s prior written consent. Patents: Supplier shall defend at its own expense any suit or action brought against Customer based on a claim that the equipment or any part thereof, furnished hereunder constitutes an infringement of any patent of Italy, if notified promptly in writing and given awarded therein against Customer. In case the furnished equipment or any part thereof is held to constitute an infringement and its use is enjoined, Supplier shall, at its expense, either procure for Customer the right to continuing use of the equipment, or modify it so it becomes non-infringing, or replace it with non-infringing equipment, or, as a last resort, remove said equipment or any part thereof and refund the price of the equipment or the part. Termination: Unless provided otherwise in writing herein, Customer cannot terminate or cancel any order once Supplier has accepted the order. No termination shall relieve Customer of any liability incurred and Customer’s obligation shall survive such termination, including all hold harmless and all indemnities and all warranties. Inspection: Customer’s acceptance of delivery and signature of its representative on any delivery tickets or other Supplier documents is conclusive evidence that Customer found the equipment to be suitable for its needs and in good condition and that the signor was the agent for customer, building or land owner, contractor, sub contractor and operator. Customer also has a duty to inspect equipment prior to use and to notify Supplier immediately of any defects and before use of the Supplier’s product. Laws, Regulation and Codes: The laws of Italy shall apply to orders unless modified by the Supplier in writing. Provided Customer furnished Supplier with applicable laws, ordinances, codes or regulations prior to award of order, Supplier shall comply unless otherwise noted. Limited Liability: Supplier does warrant equipment sold by Supplier to Customer to be free from defects in material or workmanship. In the event that a court finds that Supplier is liable for any breach of contract or any breach of warranty, Supplier’s liability for said breach is expressly limited to the repair or replacement, at its sole option, of any equipment which proves to be defective during any period declared by the court to be a period of warranty. All such equipment shall be repaired or replaced F.O.B Supplier’s plant warehouse, store or premises. In the event that a court finds that Supplier has an obligation to repair or replace equipment, said repair or replacement constitutes agreed and liquidated damages for any breach of Supplier’s actual or court-declared warranty. The remedies stated above for any such breach thereof, shall be in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including all other warranties for merchantability or fitness liability for Supplier’s negligence or fault and Customer’s right and remedies.
