nadine’s BIO.

adine K is a make-up artist who unexpectedly found her passion for make-up from an eye shadow pallet and Youtube videos. In a recent interview when asked about how she started her journey in the beauty industry, Nadine described it as a “weird acquaintance” since she had no previous interest for make-up. When her sister bought an eye shadow pallet there sparked an interest in Nadine, which led her to watch and study Youtube videos about make-up and learning various techniques for applying make-up. Intrigued by the creativity she witnessed in those videos, her passion for make-up was realized and she began to improve her skills as a make-up artist. Her first project was applying make-up on models for a friend’s photo shoot.

She is especially intrigued by looks that are “not wearable,” those uniquely dramatic looks found in magazines but not on the everyday person walking down the street. Nadine has recently worked side by side with photographers doing makeup on models for a 2013 calendar photo shoot. She wishes to thank all her fans for their support and positive feedback in encouraging her to pursue her career as a make-up artist.

Besides eye shadow pallets and Youtube videos, Nadine is also inspired by celebrities like Adrienne Bailon from 3LW and Rihanna. She admires the dramatic make-up style Adrienne poses but also appreciates the natural look as seen on Rihanna. These two celebrities represent the wide range of clients that Nadine works with and wishes to attract who although may

have different preferences, share a common passion for make-up and beauty products. She finds that the younger generations are definitely greater risk takers when it comes to make-up application while mature women prefer more natural looks. Although Nadine enjoys working her magic on all her clients, she admits working on the younger risk takers can be very fun.

hen asked whether she considers herself to be a trend setter as a make-up artist, she simply answered “yes” as she finds herself having to keep up to date with modern trends for her clients who wish to wear the latest and hottest looks from magazines. She educates herself on the latest and upcoming make-up products and what they can do for her clients. One way she does this is by taking the time to try the products on herself in order to give her clients the best possible feedback on the latest arrivals.
