Originally from Gloucester, Laurence began his singing career as a deputy lay clerk for Gloucester Cathedral Choir and as the Choral Scholar of Tewkesbury Abbey Scholar Cantorum, under Simon Bell. Laurence read Music at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he was a choral scholar under Rupert Gough and studied with Elaine Pearce. In 2019, he graduated with a First-Class degree, BMus (Hons). He was awarded the Dame Felicity Lott Bursary. Laurence is currently a Fellow of NYCGB and also the Director of Music and Organist of St Mary’s, Lewisham.

EDUCATIONAL WORK Through NYCGB and Ready, Steady, Sing!, Laurence has helped assist and lead singing workshops and sectionals to children and adults, and groups of over 40 participants.
