administering and raising funds for the club.

Bushranger, Bushranger, Rah, Rah, Rah!

Tough as the bush is.

Robbie was most likely best remembered for his support of the Maleny Bushrangers Rugby Club where he cooked much of the hot food enjoyed on Saturdays, helped set up the field for play on a Friday afternoon and night and as well as on the game day. He also spent countless hours

At a celebration of his life at his beloved club grounds, the Witta Sports Club on the 14th April a gathering of over 200 local community members gathered to send him off “in style”. Members of the Bushrangers Rugby Union Football Club were well represented in their playing uniforms as they joined with community members to form a Guard of Honour/ (tunnel in rugby language) and make the Bushrangers War cry ring out one more time for Robbie as he left the service.

Also, as he left the grounds he was “sounded out” by the ringing of the old school bell which he used on game day to mark the start and ending of the sessions of play.

As a business man he was well respected within his community. R I
