Maleny Senior Citizens

Maleny Senior Citizens meet every Friday morning from about 8.45 until 11am for a Cuppa, Chat, and some board games and a laugh or two. They meet in the Verandah Room under the Maleny Community Centre.

Every Friday morning is ‘drop in’ where games, laughter and morning tea is enjoyed by all. Occasionally the group join together to go on bus or train trips to varying local areas. Everything the club does is based on social activities that are fun.

This is one of the most social activities that we believe is held on a regular basis and is open to anyone over the age of 50. Those social activities include some bus trips and the regular Friday night meal with friends at various Maleny eateries.

The Friday night “get togethers” are very popular..

So if you would like to have a Cuppa, a Chat, a Laugh or just sit and listen to the chatter this is the place to come. New members are always welcome.

Call Margaret on 0419 179516 or 54942621. We look forward to seeing you soon. You are sure to meet “new friends” and great fun times.

What’s happening at the Witta Recreational Club and Witta Sports-grounds

Sunday 20th August will be Witta Wheels – Coffee and Cake from 7.30am until 10.30ish.

Come see the vehicles on display like the one shown and many more eye catching vehicles from yesteryear. Thanks to the locals for their tremendous display.

Witta Sports Club is about to make some alterations to the meeting room so that the venue will be more function friendly. Some of the posts in the meeting room are being removed and replaced with beams thus giving the area a bigger area without hinderances thus allowing for greater flexibility of use.

We are also moving onto the next phase of Sport with the commencement of Touch at the beginning of October. So check out Maleny Touch Club on Facebook and get your team organised for a fun way to keep fit and enjoy some great fellowship with great Canteen and Bar facilities.
