It's all happening on Maleny-Kenilworth Road at the moment! Perhaps most importantly, TMR are now rehabilitating the old timber bridge at Cambroon Creek as part of their progress towards getting two full lanes of the road sealed.

The Booloumba Creek section is now almost finished and tree clearing on Lee's Road section is also underway. And it doesn't end there either! Slope stabilisation is currently occurring at Bakers Gully in Witta. It's all coming together now and I just can't wait to see the final result of the new and improved MalenyKenilworth Road.

Can you believe it. The QCWA Maleny recently held their 95th AGM!! What an achievement! Congratulations ladies.

And thank you for your support of 16-year-old Conondale swimmer, Kael Thompson - who was the guest speaker. Keep an eye out for this young lady. She picked up five medals at the recent Virtus Global Games in Vichy, France. And has set eight new Australian records since April. I suspect it won’t be long before we see Kael representing Australia at the Paralympic Games.

More politics won't #Close The Gap.

There's not a single law which doesn't affect Indigenous Australians. Don't let Labor divide Australians along the lines of race. While Labor's Canberra-based #Voice will add another layer of bureaucracy, it won't deliver the outcomes we want to see in education, healthcare, and employment.

What you enshrine in the Constitution will become a permanent fixture. More politics won't #CloseTheGap.

Mr Wallace said voters overwhelmingly supported symbolic recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, but the Voice question was on track to fail.

This top-down, elite Canberra Voice does nothing to help Indigenous communities on the ground in rural and regional Australia. What the Albanese Labor Government is proposing is divisive, risky, unknown and permanent. I support the constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. I support Australians having their say.

We need to get rid of this idea that Government knows best. Aspirational Australian families and their businesses know best.
