representation

*

1. the act of representing. 2. the state of being represented. 3. the expression or designation by some term, character, symbol, or the like. 4. action or speech on behalf of a person, group, business house, state, or the like by an agent, deputy, or representative.

Make an abstract composition using your own bodies and an object (a cube) as the elements of your composition. Do not try to represent a ‘scene’ but try to analyze the formal properties of the bodies and consider these while relating parts with each other. After deciding on the composition as a group, take the photographs from different standing points as individuals.

Representation, the depiction and ethical concerns of construction in visual arts and literature. Depiction is a form of non-verbal representation in which two-dimensional images (pictures) are regarded as viable substitutes for things seen, remembered or imagined.

an arrangement of repeated or corresponding parts, decorative motifs

color *

A color wheel is a visual representation of colors arranged according to their chromatic relationship. Begin a color wheel by positioning primary hues equidistant from one another, then crate a bridge between primaries using secondary and tertiary colors.

Tint: Tints are created when you add white to any hue on the color wheel. This will lighten and desaturate the hue, making it less intense Shade: Shades are created when only black is added to a hue. This results in a rich, often more intense and darker color.

abstraction *

Generalisation; ignoring or hiding details to capture some kind of commonality between different instances. Examples are abstract data types (the representation details are hidden), abstract syntax (the details of the concrete syntax are ignored), abstract interpretation (details are ignored to analyse specific properties).

composition

we are interested to understand how movement data may be read, interpreted, shaped, presented, and applied in order to design from it, with it, and for it.
