AS.Architecture Studio Hotel Residence in Sete 01.2014 - 02.2014 Status: Design in development/Construction Location: Sète, France Program: 6000 m2 Hotel with spa, swimming pool and comercial spaces I entered this design in the final stage of a process. The hotel building is located by Mediterranean Sea in southern French town Sète. Its program consists of recreational appartments with acompanying infrastructure, a little spa, an exteriour swimming pool and commercial space in the groundfloor. The complex is composed of two separate simple segments connected by the bridge under which main entrance is located. Some indentations containing terraces were made to diversify the solid. The facades are finished with metal cladding corresponding with surrounding nature. My task in this project was to include changes in the detailing and design due to the complications and increased costs of construction caused by the unexpected need of adhibition of piles foundation as well as control of useful surfaces and typology and amount of doors, windows and wall finishing materials. I participated in preparing final pre-costruction dossier for the project.

Extension of College Franklin in Paris
Status: Detailed studies Location: Paris, France Program: Extension and rehabilitation of college building with classes, study rooms and chapel I joined the team working on this project in the moment of significant redesinging being the consequence of changing the program on investorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s demand. Located in protected quarter of Paris this project had to deal with a lot of convervatory regulation. The new part of college is elevated simple block containing classrooms, study rooms and chapel located on top of the building. The elevation allowed to visually communicate school playground with the street. During the project development I was responsible for updating the section drawings and facades, as well as detailing.

AS.Architecture Studio Office quarter la Loubiere in Toulon 11.2013 - 01.2014 Status: Design in development/Construction Location: Toulon, France Program: Group of mixed-use buildings (offices, commercial spaces, habitation) This complex of buildings is designed to fullfill the standarts of office building with keeping the lox price at the same time. The site is divided into two parts - one with four residentional buildings and the other one with four office with commerces ones. Due to the changing ground level the biggest building is formed out of two parts connecter by communication cores.
Architecture is simple and responding to the surrounding, Each building has finishing in different colour but in the same warm, southern palette. To diversify the facades the windows are of different sizes and positioned on different heights. My task in this project was adjusting the floorplans and sections to the new-coming changes and operating the facades drawings, as well as choosing final finishing material and meetings with contractors. I was also responsible for preparing final dossier to be submited to the municipality before the construction starting.

The end of the Olympic Games in London will mark a change for the area surrounding the main venues, that will be converted into a big park. The competition entry was the result of a collaboration between Benthem Crouwel, West8 and Buro Happold. Benthem Crouwel was assigned the architectural part of the project, a multifunctional public space in order to add liveliness to the ill-fames district after the Games are over. Greenery conceived as themed islands, each one containing different-purpose recreational spaces, plays a playful role in the shadow of Anish Kapoorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s sculpture. Sunk into this landscape, with the park continuing as the roof, the main pavilion holds the hub, the ticketing office and a restaurant and back of house for all the events in the post-Olympic area. Sustainability and costs were a core issue of the design and was achieved by reusing the materials left after the Olympics. Another concern was not to compete with Kapoorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s controversial monument, desired to be a new symbol of the city. Although the pavillion looks quite organic, the interior is very simple and flexible, based on imperfect symmetry found so often in nature. I had the chance to work on this project by collecting and analising all the material and information, as well as fully participating in the design process from the concept sketches to final drawings. It was a great occasion of learning how to collaborate and divide tasks within the competition group.
Benthem Crouwel Architects Eurojust is the agency of the European Union dealing with judicial co-operation in criminal matters. Since the seriousness of the institution the idea for this competition project, set in The Hague, was to develop a clear and essential-looking building, although containing various degrees of complexity inside it. The office tower lies on a plinth containing the main representative activities such as the meeting room and a small conference hall, which are two selfstanding volumes that generate by subtraction the main connective space. I entered in this project that it was already ongoing and worked in the last weeks of the design on the plans and sections as well as preparing the presentation panels and the maquette.

Benthem Crouwel Architects Competition for a Central Library in Helsinki attracted more than 300 participant, as it was highimportance open competition for a public building and a part of the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 programme. Located in the TÜÜlÜnlahti area, central location in the capital of Finland among other public buidings Library was supposed to be the high-quality, ecoefficient and timeless building. In this competition I was part of team throught all the design process starting from research and analised to drawings.

This project was occasion for me to learn German standards, regulation and prefered solutions. My particular task was designing the appartaments varied in sizes from 2 up to 5 rooms.

For this project of office buildings in Essen I joined the team only at the end of the design. My task was to present the facades, sections and detail drawing. The drawings were made in Microstation and Photoshop.
Wrocław University of Technology Transgenerational Integration Centre - Master Diploma The Transgenerational Integration Centre is a multiuse complex dedicated to elderly people. It is located in the central position in the city of Wrocław, on the void place of former city-gardens which are supposed to disapear and where the masterplan in force provides multifamily housing, commercial services, green spaces, sport facilities, educational buidings, cultural centre and church with parish house - a fully equipped neighbourhood. The project is developped in a way to answer contemporary Polish society structure and demographical problems and also with taken into account dynamic and traditional family model.
The whole complex provides facilities such as daily care for elderly people, geriatrical clinic, pharmacy, cultural centre, restaurant, kindergarden and elderly care house. Such a various program allows the institution to work as heart of the neighbourhood and put the seniors in the centre of community. The appearing medical facilities serve as well nearby multifamily housing with mixed-typology houses family appartments, senior individual appartments and senior group appartments. This variety allows to create gradation of care needs and self-help of elderly community avoiding at the same time problem of isolation and “ghettoization” .
The project site is surrounded by existing buildings from two sides, which position allowed to create common courtyard with already residenting people. This situation is very helpful in the integration process. Due to the atypical size of the quarter the site was divided in two parts to create two, more intime courtyards, and three investitions: A- Transgenerational Integration Centre, B, C - multifamily housing with commerces in the groundfloor. The complex faces urban square provided by existing masterplan and due to this fact the part of the building with main entrance was ejected before the facade line to emphasise this important point. The investition B was designed to create
negative of neighbouring high habitation building - divided into two parts with commercial woonerf in the centre. This allows to receive intimacy and liveliness of residenting community. The axis of this path is prolongation of existing axis and ends up with the dominant point of the planned church. The position of the complex leads to creating various atmospheres of different sides - intime green space form the courtyard side and urban, lively street on the exteriour facades. This helps to make the elderly present and active in the city life, giving them at the same time a lot of relax.
In the design of TIC the most important guidelines were to create open, public space and see-through building, dividing big complex into smaller housetype pieces. This kind of fractality in urban and architectural scale allows to gain impression of not just a large building but micro-habitat with corridors playing role of interiour streets. In the end the building is formed out of seven blocks with communication space in between. Each block has different fonction in the groundfloor - sport centre, manual activities therapy centre, restaurant, auditorium, medical centre and kindergarden. On the first and second floor the staff rooms and elderly habitation are located. The form of the building reminds of childish blocks which underlines connection between generations and circle of life path - the golden age might be seen as getting back to the need of being taken care. At the same time sloped roof refer to archetypical Polish house shape and the brick used on the facade creates warm and traditional environment. The whole structure is visible and characteristical but the aim of the project was to bring attention to problems of aging in modern European societies. The elderly and their activities are present and visible in the street space as well as the street may be object of observation from more private spaces in the floors.
Technische Universitat Dresden The Next Factory/Factory of the Future

The Factory of the Future is a automobile reserche and production centre. The project was trial to aswer a question how to make production in Europe competitive with the fast-and-cheap production in Asian countries. The new industrial zone is Hamburg is located on the former port part in Hamburg. The idea was to make the production process atractive enough to sell it itself as a product: “Production is a product”. Opening factory to visitors, researchers and students allow to create new lively technological park mixed with comercial spaces. Production line is located on the exteriour allowing to use
ships to move goods. The building of factory in the smaller scale is centrised along staircase which lead to cafe and viewing point. Logistic parts are here also located on exteriour. The production line located is on three floors with meeting and office boxes floating over. The production process is nothing to be ashamed of - it’s visible on the facade and the whole building works as one machine. The culmination point of the building, the viewing point with look to the new part of city of Hamburg is supposed to be new “cool” place - production and industrial landscape may be also the new “cool”.

10.2010-01.2012 This project takes inspiration from water as one of the most important chemical and its properties. Ambiguity of its character was found fascinating on one hand it’s source of life but at the same time it can turn to destructive force able to flood cities in few seconds or slowly erode for years. The project contains two objects: one is bubble-like floating asylum house for 1-2 people for temporary stay, the other one is wooden shed, which was neccesary for adjusting the project for Polish climatic condition and endanger of frozing. The aim was to create object that allows escape from contemporary, conformistic way of living in order to ensure silence and proper conditions for contemplation, autonomy, maximalisation of contact with nature, return to life with its rhyhm (daynight division and using only natural light to minimise energy use). Although it is located on lake in Poland, it can be anywhere, as it is universal and mobile. The object is not dedicated to everyone as it ensure litteral isolation. It is demanded to do an effort to get there (with canoe), supply is more complicated than
in standard but at the sam time it allows to concentrate on living plain daily activities. Esthetically the house resembles bubbles on surface of the water, what can be read as reference to phase change or detergent foam. There are three penetrating spheres as this is the symbol of isolation and protection (reference to Fuller’s dome over Manhattan and nature - womb). They are of different size to make easier orientation inside as the landscape around changes constantly. The object is half sunk in water that creates border between under- and overwater world. As it was necessary to make division on spherical surface for EFTE pillowa, Kelvin foam’s monodyspersic cells were used, an alternative to Weire-Phelan structure used in Water Cube in Beijing. Underwater part resembles more wet foam - it’s made of single resin cast, containing also water chambers. The way of immersion is like in submarines. The object contains also small kitchenette, toilet, water filters and solar pannels to make it self-sufficient.

Facing the Loire, in the proximity of the Architecture School and Jean Nouvel’s Palais de Justice, the new seat of the Architecture Board had to be a landmark architecture. Dedicated to architects, the main users of the building, its shape is determined by the extension and crossing of the existing urban alignments, generating a strong nearly brutal gesture – more like a sculpture on a piazza – allowing the city to go through it and around it, preserving the important visual axes.

Contemporary Art Museum in Wrocław

WrocĹ&#x201A;aw with its big student population is a young and lively city but it lacks in cultural exhibition spaces. The design site is in the center of the city next to the Odra river and it faces Grunwaldzki Bridge - one of symbols of the city - and looks on the so-called WrocĹ&#x201A;awâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Manhattan. Its outstanding position allows to make a strong architectural and urban statement. The configuration of the building is based on the extrusion of the butterfly-shaped plot and the extension of the urban alignments, both in levation and plan, resulting in the juxtaposition of two volumes distorted to respond to specific program demands and creating a new corner of the urban block. One of the volumes is lifted to create a recognisable entrance and to open up the cafeteria to the river shore while the void in between the two volumes results in the main hall. The overall impression is simple but monumental - which is very desired in this localisation. The plan organisation is minimal: on each floor of the main volumes there are big open spaces that fulfill the flexibilty required for exhibition purposes.
