THE WALKING TALKING ROBOT By Emma and Mark Lidgett
Chapter 1 One night, Harrison told his family that he really wanted a walking, talking robot.
Harrison went to bed feeling rather sad that his family ignored him ď Œ
Chapter 2 - The robot. The next morning Harrison woke up to find a robot in his bed room! The robot said "Good morning Harrison!". This made Harrison scream in excitement. He could not believe his eyes. "Who are you?" said Harrison "Oli is my name" said the robot. "Wow, you are a talking robot. Cool can I play with you?"
Chapter 3 – playing with the robot Harrison took Oli to the park. So he took him to the swing and pushed him. After he finished, Harrison asked if Oli would push him on the swing too. “Sure said Oli”. So Oli pushed him on the swing. “You are really cool, Oli” said Harrison.” I can’t wait to show you to my brother, Jamie. He will love you too”
Then Harrison asked the robot where was he from. “I am from the planet Jupiter” said Oli. “I came here on my rocket” “Oh I love space” said Harrison to Oli. “Yes I came all the way from space to be friends with you”Oli replied. “COOL, do you play any games on Jupiter?” asked Harrison “We play football, here let me show you my skills”, Oli replied.
“I can do keepy-uppies,� said Oli The two new friends had a great time playing football together in the park for the rest of the afternoon.
Chapter 4 – Home time. So they went home and then Harrison showed Oli (the robot) to his brother. Harrison’s brother Jamie didn’t believe that Oli was a real Robot. He tried to take off his helmet, but it wouldn’t come off. “Stop Jamie, Oli is a real Robot” Harrison told his brother.
Chapter 5-hiding Oli from mum and dad. “Dinner time boys!” shouted mum up the stairs, “Oh no”! Shouted both of them, “we have to hide Oli from Mum and Dad until he can get back to his planet in the morning”. The two brothers hid Oli under their bunk bed while they went down for dinner.
They scoffed their dinner up fast, “why are you so fast?” Dad asked the boys in shock.
“We have a lot of homework we have to do in our room” said Jamie.
The boys then left the table and they snuck up a banana for Oli’s dinner. So they gave the banana to Oli and he ate it,” Thank you “ Oli said.
Chapter 6- oli goes home Now the three friends had all eaten their dinner, they had to start planning the secret mission to help Oli get back to his planet. So Jamie said” first we need to find a massive cardboard box then an engine for the rocket”.
“We need some super boosters for the bottom to blast into space” added Harrison. “I would also like a radio”, added Oli, “so I can listen to some music on my way home”. All 3 of them giggled at that!
They got all their things ready and build the rocket together, Harrison then remembers the missing radio, so gets Mum’s radio from the shower and sticks it into the rocket for Oli to listen to. The boys hide the rocket under their bed, and, Oli sleeps with Harrison and Jamie has the top bunk.
First thing in the morning, the 3 of them wake up just as the sun comes up. Mum and Dad were still fast asleep
So they sneaked outside with the rocket and set it up in the back garden. Oli pointed the rocket at Jupiter so it wouldn’t miss when he fired off home. So they fired him up in the sky and said bye Harrison was sad to see his friend leave, but happy to meet a real, walking, talking robot.
