Enlivening Nehru Place : Interface between the Complex and the Metro Station Architectural Thesis Academic Work 4th Year, Semester II
Nehru Place is a large, prominent & commercial business centre in South Delhi and it consists of several 4-floor buildings, that flank a large pedestrian courtyard, built over an underground parking. The coming of a new metro station in Nehru Place was identified as an opportunity to provide spaces for people to gather while engaged in their daily activities.

Optics — Elements were manipulated on site so that an impact on emotions was achieved. Introduction of Metro Station at the back of Nehru Place marked it as the ‘acting front’, giving rise to recreational spaces
Lack of green cover within Nehru Place points towards a need for planned landscaping
The open public space generates maximum pedestrian activity
Place — The built mass was reshaped such that it might make people want to move and explore, fill them with wonder, excitement, peacefulness.
Coming of a new metro station at the relatively inactive front, creates an opportunity for Nehru Place to respond to it
Content — Creativity was achieved in the material selection, while retaining a level of conformity, inturn enlivening the place with drama in texture and colour
Content – the fabric of towns: colour, texture, scale, style, character, personality and uniqueness

Sadar Bazaar is a whole sale market with a relatively large pedestrian pathway at the front and it is accompanied by LIG and MIG housing. It acts as a potential contemporary sarai owing to the nature of its function which results in providing temporary shelter to its users, and also because of its close and contiguous form, similar to Sarai Chipitola Taj Road

Redevelopment - Galleria Market Mixed Use Development Academic Work 3rd Year, Semester II
The design brief was to redevelop Galleria market in Gurgaon, to a mixed use development with specified area requirements. The design concept was inspired by the ability of green public spaces to provide an environment of social and communitarian harmony, allowing people from different income groups to experience solitude amidst togetherness.
The site was made to be accessible for pedestrians from all sides
A large, central green space was given which would bind the entire site together
Lower height buildings were given on the front to maximise visual connectivity
A large feature staircase was given on the southern side for pedestrians walking from a nearby metro station

Church Drive Residence Church Drive, New Delhi Professional Work - Saka Studio Architecture + Interiors May 2016 - Present
This residential project started with working with the Principal architect and the senior architect on the initial concept sketches. The linearity of the plot was a constraint we had to keep in mind. I produced numerous 2d renders along with an accurate 3d model of the final design. I was also responsible for producing the tendor staged working drawings which included layout drawings, sections and elevations, services, toilet drawings, kitchen details, guard room details and door window schedule. This project is currently in the construction stage.

Gandhi Residence World Spa, Gurgaon, Haryana Professional Work - Saka Studio Interiors January - July 2017
The concept for this project arose with the clients’ longing for a new, contemporary home by focusing on the public areas, while retaining the earthiness that the home already reflected. I was solely handling this project, with guidance from the Principal architect. My responsibilites included interacting with the client, producing working drawings, 2d and 3d renders, site coordination and working extensively on the BOQ.
Container House Pushpanjali, New Delhi Professional Work - Saka Studio Architecture July - November 2017
This 1500 sqft weekend home for a bachelor from Delhi was designed to be a low cost home for the young client. The concept was inspired by ‘containers’ used in indian trains to cater to the low cost demand of the client and yet give a unique character and texture to the design. The container, along with standard sizes of cement blocks and stone, combined to give a clean and subtle look to the home. I was handling this project solely and was responsible for producing 2d and 3d renders as well as working drawings.
