INTRODUCTION The Terra do Sol Farm (meaning Land of the Sun) is a property in the Araguaia Valley, located 75 kilometers away from the city of Barra do Garças, in the state of Mato Grosso. Composed of two large areas, which together cover 8,876 hectares – 4,700 of which are used for planting eucalyptus, while the remaining area is reserved for preservation –, the Farm is located in one of the most productive and beautiful regions in Brazil. The ages of the forested areas range from 0 to 9 years, producing clean energy and preserving the environment. Considering the areas with forests more than 5 years old, it is estimated that there are 500,000 m3 of stocked wood available for use. The region has a yearly precipitation rate of over 1,800 mm, an essential figure for ensuring high productivity. The Farm is located in a unique spot in the Araguaia Valley, with 2,000 mm/year and an altitude of over 750 m. Through the use of optimized forestry practices and appropriate genetic materials, the average productive potential of its forests is over 40 m3/hectare/year. LOCAT I ON
The Terra do Sol Farm is located 15 km away from the BR-158 federal highway, in the municipality of Barra do Garรงas. Firmly rooted at the foot of the Serra Azul, part of the Roncardor range, the city is crossed by the Araguaia and Garรงas rivers. Several streams stem from the hills surrounding it, which create dozens of waterfalls of unparalleled beauty on their way down to the rivers. PROPERTY INFRASTRUCTURE The Terra do Sol Farm has all the infrastructure needed for every operation involved in forestry productivity, from the planting to the management and mechanized harvest of the planted forests.
The main structures present at the farm include: headquarters house, leisure area, service warehouse, washing room, complete workshop, sleeping quarters, office, landing strip and its own road network ensuring access to every area of the property.

PLANTED AREAS The Terra do Sol Farm is divided into five properties, which together cover 8,876 hectares, distributed thusly: Terra do Sol with 69% of the total area; Vale do Paraíso with slightly over 14%; Estrela da Serra with approximately 14%; and Chapada da Serra I and II with 4%. 53% of the total area are exploitable for forestry operations.

GENETIC MATERIAL The main species of eucalyptus available is Eucalyptus urograndis. From the 10 genetic materials planted, two stand out: the 144 and gg100 clones, representing nearly 50% of the total planted area. With the adequate genetic material and the region’s precipitation rates, it is possible to reach an average annual growth rate of over 40 m3/hectare.

Considering the areas five years old or older, it is estimated that there are over 500,000 m2 of stocked wood. It is possible to produce over 15,000 m3 of wood every month in a sustainable way. The property is equipped with a range of machines and equipment, which are used in all mechanized forestry and harvest operations.

investments in planted forests with the natural energy of the Vale do Sonho region. Georeferenced farms with Legal Reserve and protected Permanent Preservation Area status.
