Lost and Found Edge of the Forest by Varun Malkani At the edge of a forest I stand Without any clear path to take. People trying to show me the way Even though this is my path to make. Like a car in cruise control I feel forced in one direction. My life should be my own journey And not decided by election. My mind has now become a blender As my own goal is mixed in with another. I sort through them to do what I want But I feel I have to do what they prefer. Like a drop of rain In a sea of pressure, I am no longer certain And I feel quite insecure. But just as the sun emerges From a grey and rainy day, I know that I must follow my heart If I ever want to find my way. Questions 1. Are the metaphors unclear or ineffective? 2.
