On the 10th of May, in collaboration with the Ministry for Public Works and Planning, The Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and our internal partners the Chartered Institute of Building, we embarked on another ‘’first ‘’ for the local construction industry. This was a seminar that, also formed part of our commitment towards the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion charter that we signed last year, focused on the contribution of women to the various aspects and stages of the construction industry.

Referring to the title -From Inception to Hand Over- the various speakers, shared their experiences that varied from a developer and entrepreneur, technical, political, environmental, management and educational point of view.

Invited for this event were representatives from various backgrounds and experience. We had a mix of established designers, established managers, and also young and aspiring designers and managers. The latter could listen and even discuss during the lengthy networking period, the challenges that those present had and are going through their professional careers.

Following the feedback we received, it is clear that the main purpose of this event was reached and not only we and our partners managed to bring together under one roof the majority of the stakeholders or their representative, but more importantly encourage more women out there to look further for more opportunities within the sector.
