This activity took place on 27th September 2020. The students got to speak to a former Dragons’ Den candidate (from September 2015) who developed a product with his partner. The product is called Magloc. https://www.magloc.co.uk/pages/faqs As an entrepreneur who received £100,000 (GBP) in venture capital from one of the ‘Dragons’ in the show, Steve Shickell (from the UK) was able to answer questions relating to business, business startups, being an entrepreneur and the characteristics needed to be an entrepreneur, the challenges he has faced in business as well as questions about his other work including future R&D into other products which, like Magloc, use magnets. The students all took turns to ask him questions and found the session of interest and applicable to their AS Level Business studies work.
