You NEED a test if you:

• Are aged between 25 and 74.

• Are a woman or person with a cervix.

• Have or have not had the HPV vaccine.

• Have had sex of any kind (with anyone), even if you’re not currently sexually active.

• Have had the same partner for a long time.

• Have been through menopause.

• Are pregnant and due or overdue for your screen.

You DON’T need a test if:

• Your cervix was completely removed as part of a hysterectomy.

• You’ve never had any type of sexual contact.
