Western Sydney Parklands is the ultimate destination for a Sydney summer playcation where you’re guaranteed an action-packed weekend of family fun and big thrills. Western Sydney Parklands is not just one park, the Parklands cover over 27 kilometres spanning from Quakers Hill in the north via Horsley Park to Leppington in the south.

Let the kids burn all that extra energy in a better version of your own backyard! Pack a picnic and head on down to Bungarribee and marvel at the ultra-modern playground with its 14-metre-high tower, 50-metre-long flying-fox, giant swings and water-play.

This 200-hectare park features wide-open scenic space and two sealed tracks – the Heart Crossing Loop and the Bungaribee Trail – which are fantastic for walking and cycling.

It also has one of Sydney’s largest off-leash dog areas, the Warrigal Dog Run.

Facilities at Bungarribee:

18 picnic shelters – 10 are available free of charge on a ‘first-come first-served’ basis and the other 8 can be booked for parties and special occasions.

The shelters you can book range in size from a capacity of 60 people (45 seated, 15 standing) to 90 people (45 seated, 45 standing).

26 barbecues – available for everyone to use, free of charge. Please leave them clean and tidy when you are done.

There are two large carparks. Park only in the bays marked by signs and symbols. Time restrictions apply in some areas.

Toilets, including accessible facilities, can be found near the playground.

Walking, running and cycling: Sealed tracks, including one that runs between the Great Western Highway and Eastern Road, make Bungarribee a terrific place to walk or cycle.

Tracks and trails across Western Sydney Parklands are perfect for walking and running, and some are suitable for cycling.

A walk can take anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours to complete. Most tracks are paved or gravelled, but some are grass tracks, fire trails or old farm roads.

Whether you want a leisurely stroll, quick jog after work or to train for an epic trek or marathon, we’ve got a route to suit.

Visit Sydney Zoo and connect with beautiful animals in wide-open spaces and fresh air. The zoo is home to all your favourite exotic and native animals, Australia’s largest reptile and nocturnal house, an aquarium and has no hills or steps, making it perfect for wheelchairs and prams.

Raging Waters Sydney is the place to make your summer memories! Splash and slide into the fun at Sydney’s biggest water park, offering over 30 rides, slides and attractions.

There is something for everyone from the splash pads for the little water adventurers to the adrenaline pumping slides for the thrill seekers!

Anyone wanting to get up close (and up high) to the Cumberland Plain species of trees, will love the TreeTops Adventure Park high ropes courses.

Cruise in and watch a blockbuster movie under the stars at the retro Skyline Drive-In cinema and diner.
