Parklife Edwards Reserve (aka the frog park) This upgraded playground is super appealing and well designed. There’s lots for developing agility, with a boardwalk, stepping logs, much larger stepping dragon parts, and a wooden obstacle-style running course. Under the large wooden structure that dominates the playground you’ll find kid-sized lilypad tables and chairs and yet more balancing elements. Conventional equipment include a slide, various swings, fireman’s pole and a small climbing wall. A four-person spinner and a hammock swing provide the thrills.

Sport lovers will enjoy the adjacent oval and half-court basketball. There’s also a great circuit of paths for scooting, biking, skateboarding or roller blading. Top it off with a sandpit (with its own frog) and you’ll have some very happy children. Amenities: Toilets, bike racks, BBQ, picnic shelter, drinking tap. Refreshments are a short walk away at Vernon’s Fish & Chippery and Blacksheep café.
