CLIMATE : hot and dry . ARCHITECTURE 타 Houses here are mainly of stone

as it was locally available building material . 타 The hierarchy of spaces is seen in each house , from public to private domain. 타 Each house has courtyard which facilates thermal comfort. 타 Architectural characteristic of this village reflects courtyards , openings at a height and height matrix between street and the buildings.

Compactness among two buildings reduces direct solar radiations.

Height of building is more than the width of the street, thus facilating adequating shading in the summer.
