MEMORY
Located in San Pablo. Laguna. near the Sampaloc Lake and surrounded by tropical lush vegetation we find the Paraiso House. The project was conceptualized in 2017 and was a real challenge from the beginning. The client. an artist and neurologist envisioned a house that could showcase his art pieces. while still retaining the purity and honesty of its surroundings- ‘a blank canvas for an artist in the middle of nature‘. This was interpreted through the simplicity of the structure, the open spaces, and the abundant vegetation. which is the most noteworthy feature of the project. The house is a three level structure. designed for a single person with eventual guests. it includes an open Iiving room, open dining room, kitchen. a loft type bedroom, master bedroom and guest bedroom. The total living built surface is 285sqm plus the garage and storage spaces.

Located In Venare Nuvall. Laguna. In a peaceful subdivision in the south of Metro Manila, situates the Blanco House. Its almost 400sqm of built surface responds to the needs of an entire family seeking for a clean and quiet environment In the south. The client requested for a modern structure that could stand out. and be easily recognizable. where most of the built structures In the area follow similar design patterns. The structure is conceptualized in a way that the front elevation becomes a sculptural piece where the man and voids play to configure the volume. As wo move towards the back elevation. the volume starts Its decomposition. to give way to hefty openings for the rooms and living spaces.

Located in Pasig, Metro Manila, this modern mediterranean villa with an asian inspiration was conceptualised considering the request of the owner to bring back the mediterranean essence of their ancestral house. The house is configured in two different wings. The main section includes the living spaces and the secondary one, all the activity and public area, opened both to a common garden. The entrance recreates the classic mediterranean “zaguan�, a semi-exterior space that acts as transition from the street to the interior. A unique pivot door gives entrance to the main living area, that also includes the dining, kitchen and the stairs. This space flows to the exterior trought the big windows and accordean doors. Where we find the spanish lanai and garden. At the back we find the guest rooms and all the service area. In the second floor, we find the three main bedrooms. All designed as hotel type, with its own bathroom, cabinets and pantry. After the open air lanai we have an independent and relaxing structure that could be use as gym or office.

Located in Pasay, Metro Manila, this dormitory was designed to house the maximum number of rooms without renouncing to comfort. The area is a congested and has a highly poluted environment. As well as the views and surrounding conditions are in a precarious state. Therefore, the eight story building is configured around the green Patyo or Courtyard, where light and air flow through the generous openings on the building sides, that act as communal spaces and terraces at the same time. With that gesture we try to turn the building to its interior, provining an oasis feeling. Patyo consist on 238 double and quadruple rooms, with plenty of amenities as pool, gym, cinema, KTV rooms, and other services, that caters young working professionals.

Located in Makati, Metro Manila, an extension of 300sqm is required for the existing GKY building. This bussines city is known because of its brutalist buildings of concrete and the high new towers. The main entrance at Palanca street will be renovated, so its condition of main entrance will be reinforced. Our available area is at the back of this building, facing Castro street, where the acces for cars is located. Our main goal is the creation of a new structure connected to the old building that can work as an independent element respecting the existing one. A simple and pure gesture, opening a courtyard, will keep the light and natural ventilation to the old building. The back faรงade that we are proposing will be pure, simple and timeless Melting with the city, but providing a strong and unique identity.

Located in Makati, Metro Manila, we propose an extension of the existing GKY building. The lot available is currently occupied by a one floor parking and has an approximate area of 300sqm. This bussines city, where residential, commercial and offices uses are mixed, is known because of its brutalist buildings and the high-rise new towers. The old building would remain as it is, and would only suffer a renovation at the front faรงade at Palacan street. That would reinforce its condition of main entrance. The growing population and residential devolpments in Lezkairu, Pamplona, demanded the construction of a medical center for family and mental attention. Therefore, the Government of Navarra hold an open competition to design this project. AH ASOCIADOS, a well knonw architecture firm in Spain, with the collaboration of MANAM ARCHITECTURE, proposed this clean and effective solution for the building. Due to the prominent slope in the lot, the center courtyards is a crucial element in this project. The floorplan is organized around it with and H shape. Also, both the back and the front are recessed to have a private area to iluminate and ventilate the rooms. The linear concept of the wings, provides a perfect funcional working spaces, open to the big main waiting areas that has a warm and relaxing environment.
