CONCEPT IMPLEMENTATION
CONCEPT The program of this project combines between two contradictory functions. The rehabilitation center for disabled people and the sport performance center for athletes. This contradiction is the main challenge of the project. However, as people move from relaxation to activity, their blood flow increases, and vice versa.
So, the form will stimulate this movement of the blood in an architectonic way, while creating curiosity to explore the environment and the building from different perspectives at the same time. The resultant streamline design provide a form that presents a very little resistance to the flow of water or air, increasing speed, and ease of movement.

02 WADI NAMAR EXTENSION PARK
(GROUP OF 3 STUDENTS)
Location: WADI NAMAR, Riyadh, KSA Area: 40,000 sqm
CONCEPTUAL SKETCHES Benches that follow the same concept of combining the rigidness and the flow of water surround all the green areas of the park. So, it suits all the different users, and trees cast shadow and creates pleasing environment.
The lines of the park combine both the rigidness and the smoothness to express the concept. These lines divide the park into various functions and creates paths for both pedestrians and cyclists.
The park is raised several levels above the water surface to protect the park in the case of flooding. The steps can be used as seating benches that overlook the water surface of the wadi.
The existing rocks of the wadi can be used to create waterfalls that seems naturally existing. This obstructed flow of water creates a refreshing atmosphere.

SECTION B-B
CONCEPT The concept of the project mainly came out from the context. The environment of the location is composed of water surface and rock mountains. Hence, the design will combine between the rigidness of the rocks and flow of the water which will create an interesting contradiction. It also aims to create a place where visitors can explore the space from different perspectives which is achieved by varying the heights of the paths. Also, all the landscape furniture follow the same concept of rigidness and smoothness. DATE PALM SWEET ACACIA DESERT WILLOW HEAVENLY CLOUD SAGE

01 SEATING The seating area is elevated at a higher level to ensure getting different view without any obstructions. Also, it protects the visitors in case of flooding. These steps also functions as benches for people to rest while waking. The seating design is derived from the concept, it combines the curves with edgy corners.
03 BENCHES In order to serve all the users in a comfortable way, the benches were designed with different heights, which surround the green areas.
05 BRIDGE The bridge connects the existing park with the extension. It gives the visitor to explore the park from different perspectives. It is divided into three levels, each level has its own function to server the different users (Cyclists, Runners, Pedestrian). At the end of the journey on the bridge, a beautiful small restaurant welcome the visitors which is a need missing in the previous design.
06 BARBEQUE EQUIPMENT To avoid the problem of the annoying smell and smoke of barbeque, a special location of barbeque area is designed, so people can enjoy barbeque without bothering others.
02 STEPPING STONE The interaction between people and water is a nice experience that is achieved by our design of the stepping stone on a shallow water surface. ZOOMED IN PLAN 2

ANALYSIS PHASE In order to understand the wadi and study its relation with the city, we stated by producing 2D maps in different layers, • First layer is the topography map of the wadi with the contour lines showing the different elevations. • Second layer is the roads map that shows how streets and bridges systems are connecting the wadi with the city as well as connecting both sides of the wadi.
o OBSERVATIONS • Connections between the wadi and the city are poor. • There are no enough connections between the two sides of the wadi. • There are no enough public open spaces for people which are highly needed specially in such a natural place. Existing open spaces per person in Riyadh = 12.8 m2 per person, which is not enough at all.

BALCONY BRIDGE A bridge that is equipped with various playground fields and facilities for children to enjoy the journey and establish a connection with valley. It is located between picnic and balcony bridges, so families can observe their children while playing.
SERVICE BUILDING A bridge designed as an exhibition to show the different native materials and the different native plants in Saudi Arabia, in order to raise awareness about sustainability and using local materials and plants.
Service building connect the two bridges. The roof of the building is used as a seating deck to overlook the valley.
EDUCATIONAL BRIDGE
A bridge for athletes who want to practice different types of sports. It is divided into several tracks for pedestrians, bicyclists, runners, skaters.
SPORT BRIDGE
BALCONY BRIDGE
A bridge where people go for picnic. It has some elevated areas that people either gather under to protect themselves in the hot days without blocking the views, or gather above and enjoy the weather.
PICNIC BRIDGE
A bridge where people go relaxing, observing the valley, or just enjoying the views. It has spiral stair where people can go down to the arched structure of the bridge, which is used as a deck where people can set between nature. In each movement in this bridge and its structure you will diffidently see the valley from different level and perspective.

04 ISLAMIC CENTER IN ABHA Location: Abha, KSA Area: 50,000 sqm
CONCEPT Pray is an spiritual worshipping that makes a prayer goes from body to soul. The ascending form of the mosque indicates this movement of the soul from soil to sky. Since the project is located in a natural area of Abha, the design must blend with the surrounding nature. Hence, it takes an organic form (like a growing seed).
SYMBOLIC MINARET
Minarets were one of the most important invention of its age. Because people needed to hear sounds of the call to prayer. But now, we are using public address system for it. In this way, I designed just a symbol for the minaret which represents the religion of Islam.
GREEN ROOF Green roofing is great for it is cost efficient and attractive. Using a green roofing system can give extra insulation that helps keep energy consumption down.

CONCEPT The project is a compound that’s located in the diplomatic quarter in Riyadh city. The complex consists of 20 buildings that’s divided into villas and apartments. The buildings are elevated on pillars inspired from “villa savoye” that’s designed b the famous architect Le Corbusier. The design is an open concept with a consideration of privacy which is important in our culture. The plan takes the L-shape that makes the courtyard of each villa invisible to the public road and makes almost all the rooms have a great view. Generally, the design follow the contemporary style due to the geometric shapes, but the wooden frames make it looks more oriental.

ARCHITECTURE & LIGHT In this model, the technique of having linear gaps in the roof which admit bright strips of daylight is used. In addition to the animation that light adds to the space, these light slits also add the sense of fluidity of the overall space. Eventually, The combinations of light and shade, and linear elements make for a highly sensuous and restorative experience.
BASIC DESIGN COURSE
ABSTRACTION The concept of this model is to abstract a natural element which is the rose and make a 3d model of the abstraction. So, the rose was abstracted into geometric shapes to make vertical sheets, and the main from was inspired by repeating the petals pf the rose

SIEGE IMPACT
Access through Israel gave them a strong control over the passenger transportation as well as the international trade sector. Thus, Israel became the main compulsory trading partner, and trade with other countries must pass through Israel. This control resulted in lower trade import and export rates, which resulted in shortages in goods and raw material affecting the industrial sector as well as the commercial sector. Thus, the whole economic condition has been affected by the reduction of 5.4 billion US Dollars in the Gross National Income, which is a whole year income.

SIEGE IMPACT
Due to the blockage, fuel is not allowed to enter Gaza through land, leading to the electricity crisis in Gaza. The electricity crisis directly affect the water shortage in Gaza. As a result of erratic power supply Gaza citizens use generators to pump water 16 hours although those generators to work 8 hours only. Also, due to the blockage, equipment needed to establish sea water desalination stations are not allowed to enter Gaza Strip.
This crises put the
2020 if not constructed, Gaza will become inhabitable
lives of 1.8 millions of people at risk
The blockage also affect the reconstruction of Gaza after the war. The amount of cement, which is the main construction material, that enters Gaza by the occupation does not exceed 3.9% of the total actual needs required for the reconstruction of Gaza. Since 2007, the 1.8 Palestinians living there are isolated from the outside world, denied access to their own resources.
GAZA o
citizens have the right to be free to move and trade
MAIN OBJECTIVE
To give Gaza strip the freedom for people movement and trading with the world, without the need to Israel as per the Universal Declaration of Human Right by The United Nations.
o
SOLUTION
To eliminate these problems, dependence on Israel must be reduced by expanding trade with other countries in the region as well as overseas countries, and this can only be achieved by the establishment of an International air port and sea port in Gaza Strip.
